I thought having a refund scheme was a good thing?
You're paying extra for it as the retailer passes on the extra costs. Then, instead of putting it in the recycle bin, you have to drive to a refund machine, pray that it's working, deal with the disgusting smell and litter all over the place and spend time manually inserting the plastic bottles in the refund station, only to lose a chunk of the refund paying for petrol.
Yeah, people never think it through when it comes to green policies, it seems.

Fair enough. Although my return station is in the car park of my local woolies, so I dont have to go out of my way to do the returns and generally do it when I have a grocery run to do as well.
