Looking at the remote, its the same as Big W TVs, and I returned mine within a month cos it was so bad. Swapped it for a TCL android TV and its actually worst. id stay away from Android TVs cos they slow ASF

    • What's ASF?

      • +3

        Slow as f…k.

You gonna get what you pay for with this no name tv

Big W's EKO and this (Seiki SVision) share the same parent company - Ayonz Pty Ltd

    • I’ve a 32-inch Blaupunkt Android TV in our spare room, it appealed as it was both TV and streaming box for $199. It works fine, but definitely slow AF, could never use it daily myself but fine for occasional guest use.

Seriously, just add a Google TV or Firestick for under $80 and you will still have a 65" UHD TV with full app support for just over $600. Happy days :)

      • But this one has “ 4K NETFLIX & 4K YOUTUVE Pre-installed”

        • +1

Yes, but it will be terribly slow and painful to use, while a Google TV or Firestick are also 4k and are very nice to use.

          • @billy_bob: I was joking. My point was in their own product description they misspelled YouTube. I wouldn’t touch this tv personally.

            • +3

@Slo20: Haha, I missed that, good spotting. I agree, I would not buy this as my main TV but for a spare or kids room, should be fine.

    • I wouldn't touch this TV, but I do have 2 x TCL 50inch and 1 X Sony 65inch both Android and they be quick as! And a great pic.

Don't buy cheap TV's for their OS.

But cheap TV's for their screen size and add a media player (ATV, CCWGTV, FireTV etc)

      • I did exactly that and happy with ATV but not happy with screen viewing angles.
My take is I change TVs so rarely I should buy something decent.

        • +1

True. It all depends on usage/location.

I bought a cheap 65in TCL for the kids lounge and added a MiBox which suits them perfect.

I got a Hisense (still cheap) for main lounge and added a CCWGTV and no issues.

Is this brand equivalent to linsar etc?
Need a cheap tv for the kids room and was looking at a linsar brand that was much cheaper than this.

    • +1

If this is your budget I'd go with the best brand name you can find for the price. Assuming the kids don't need a 65" 4K screen, so you'd be better served with an equivalent priced 55" Samsung or something.

      • +1

Where are you buying a 55" Samsung for $549?

  • It's a big room so I'd like to upgrade from the 55'' 4K that's was there, it was a linsar brand and was a good enough panel, the software was easy to use for the kids and it's been reliable also.

It was a rubbish TV (picture/audio/processor speed etc.), but I'm expecting that for the price. Good enough for a kids playroom.

  • No VESA mount? Description says Mounting type: ‎Table Mount

    • 400 x 200 mm VESA.
