This is a really great watch but just want to share that I had one since September last year and a few days ago it suddenly just stopped working. Tried to charge and just had the boot logo and then shut off. It definitely had ample battery though which was odd.

That being said Amazon were good and let me return it for a full refund, picking this up again here now at a much cheaper price than last time. Hope it was just an unfortunate dud unit, otherwise really solid watch.

    • Was it giving unusual readings at times?

      • I didn't notice it no, sometimes while driving it would count steps though but not all the time.

Other than that the sensors seemed to work pretty well.

    • "great watch" for checking the time and getting fake fitness tracking data.

    If only it had NFC

Great price great watch. However mine (from two deals ago) also died. Amazon full refund no questions asked. Won't be getting another one as it seems to be a common theme

    • Thanks for the comment, glad it wasn't just my bad luck!
I'll still take a gamble with another one but yeah if it happens again I'll grab something else.

Shame though, really liked this watch.

    • Geeze.. hope my watch doesn't join the group :o

  • if you can, put another 100 bucks in and go for ticwatch 3 ultra .. battery life, nfc and design itself are alot better

I've had the 2e for 6 months and it's been great.
Tempted to get the 2 Pro for $211 as a more premium watch.

Go for the 3. All-day SpO2 monitoring and better algo for measuring HR

  • This is not a real smart watch. It’s effectively only useful for telling the time and checking the first 2 lines of notifications (messages).
For some reason it doesn’t let you read the entire message.

Step count is extremely inaccurate, I’ve checked it against more accurate devices. It fails to record steps taken around the house, Heart rate is inaccurate. I’ve checked it against manually counted heart rate. Furthermore, it lies to you and gives you a fake heart rate before it’s even measured it. It takes minutes until it gives you the actual recorded heart rate.

    I will be selling mine.

    • It takes minutes until it gives you the actual recorded heart rate.

You can adjust how it records this through the app on the phone. The default setting for HR recording is crap.

I'm starting to side with this opinion. Worn this watch now for 1+ year almost and since I've updated the firmware I've found the HR to be more inaccurate. I want more sensors damn it! The step count differs to my phone, sometimes by 20%.

  • fyi nfc on the gt 3 pro also doesn't work in au, so don't count on payments working atm (tbf hasn't officially released yet but FYI)

  • giving this a go
