OZB15

Been a while since i've posted a deal so I thought we at Anytime Professionals would offer 15% for users. Perfect for tax time and those wanting a professional to do their taxes.

So what is Anytime Professionals?

Anytime Professionals is a service dedicated to all things Accounting and Tax. We only use Australian based professionals and all are screened for their registrations and insurance to ensure you are dealing with those whom know what they're doing!

  • Need your tax return done? We've got you covered
  • Need tax advice? Sure, that's what we do too
  • Questions about salary sacrificing? Of course we can help
  • Investment advice? Yep - got that covered too
  • Want to start up a business but need accounting advice? We've got all the know how

How does it work?

Simply post your task to our website, wait for professionals to respond with their offer and select who you want to go with. Simples.

Why use us?

We are a family owned website whom are all accountants. We wanted a platform dedicated to servicing clients whilst also being able to find those in our industry clientele. So you can be assured we know what we are doing when it comes to making sure client interests are at heart.

The site is perfect for those whom are time poor or location sensitive. Our site is operational 24/7 so you can source the skills and expertise without even leaving the chair your sitting on!

We also have a feature called 'Audit Protect' which is exclusive to us only. What is it? Should any task you choose to have completed through our platform be the subject of an ATO audit we will cover the cost of engaging in a tax professional (i.e. laywer or accountant) for up to $500. This is applied automatically for FREE!

As mentioned above also we only use Australian tax professionals. All must be registered with the Tax Practitioners Board and hold the appropriate PI insurances. No one is allowed to offer service on our site unless these are up to date.

So if you've got outstanding tax returns this is a perfect time for you to bring them up to scratch and keep the ATO off your back and maximise a tax refund in the process.

Code expires 11:59pm 31st July 2022.

As always happy to take Q & A below if needed for all general tax and accounting queries (as I am a qualified Accountant, Tax Agent and Fin Planner) but as always, seek advice for specifics!

This is not advertisement platform. Ozbargain community is unable to assess 15% discount if you don't provide usual price for your service and proof that you really provide a deal.

We're a marketplace for professionals. We don't set the price so there is no usual price SunElf.

Whatever price the professionals set - you get a discount.

    From T&Cs:
The Professional hereby accepts that Anytime Professionals will receive commission of 22% of the Fee.
Anytime Professionals must pay the Professionals 78% of the Fee.

So even with 15% discount I'm better off engaging with accountant directly, what's the deal here? Are tax accountants so hard to find that I need a middleman that just does 5 min task of checking TPB number etc?

    • So even with 15% discount I'm better off engaging with accountant directly, what's the deal here? Are tax accountants so hard to find that I need a middleman that just does 5 min task of checking TPB number etc?

For some they are. Some don't have time to ring around and find out who would be best suited. Our professionals are screened and rated by users from past experiences. Plus we offer audit protection to those who post a task.

We don't claim to be for all but we are certainly confident in the offering. Give us a try!

By that analogy, you're always better off booking hotels and holidays directly instead of going through OTAs, buying stuff directly from their vendors instead of on eBay, and booking removalists by reaching out directly instead of through airtasker. In every case, you're better off engaging with the source directly. However, the purpose of a marketplace is aggregating providers, including those who you may not know about, and who might be equally or more competent than the ones you know already.

Not having a dig at you at all (in fact, I appreciate the facts that you've brought out - IMO 22% commission is daylight robbery, but that's a separate discussion). But I do think that the marketplace model brings more with it than simply a 5 min check.

Marketplace model has its limitations, it's ok for goods/services with transparent fixed price. Here we have reverse marketplace like airtasker, where you need to post a task first and get quotes. That's a good way to find lowest bidder or to reach out to service providers that do not have a place in their business model to reach clients in a regular way (for example, best handyman or gardener can do usually is to spam mailboxes with their business cards). If tax accountant business rely on this way to get clients, and is ready to share 22% of the fee with a middleman, I'm not sure that would be the best option.

        • +1

Fair point, but on the other hand, I've often used reverse marketplace platforms to find professionals who I've persisted with beyond the confines of the first task, including a (now) full time graphics designer, several coders and a dentist :). I also like to believe that in the sea of mediocre tax accountants, there will be a few who stand out, and hence the "discovery" becomes all the more important. Hence the readiness to dole out a fee.

I think it's important to understand that none of our professionals can see other offers. So there is no 'race to the bottom' to compromise on quality.

There will always be a cohort of people wanting the best possible price and that will be their primary driver. But there are also people wanting to evaluate who is the best for their situation and price doesn't have the same weight. In any event a website doesn't change peoples motivations - only simplifies it.

          • @bemybubble: This is useful to know, thanks. Giving this a shot right now

            • @ForTheGreaterGood: Awesome agefreak - let us know how you go. Genuinely happy to take feedback on user experience.

IMO 22% commission is daylight robbery

Not really agefreak - we try to remain competitive whilst being able to offer the service. Any less would translate to an offering we'd rather not be part of. Quite a few overheads running a 24/7 platform.

We have over 100+ accountants/bookkeepers/tax agents on our books so they do see the value in what we do. To be honest if they didn't see value and we didn't have the professionals we would say our concept wasn't viable and not go ahead (which is perfectly fine).

We just want to be able to offer the best we possibly can for users and professionals alike. Not one complaint about our commission structure to date so i'd like to think we're in the right space.

@wl au: A neg for our commission structure - really?

I'm happy for the neg if you feel this isn't a deal - but how we get remunerated doesn't impact our deal. In fact - you can now see that with that discount the commission drops down to 7% GST inclusive (which is really means we are taking in 6.36%).

Comon, put some thought into it. Pure plagiarism.

    • Soz - i'm an accountant - poor marketing skills on my part :P
