10% Cashback (up to ~ $233 AUD) with Bybit MasterCard + US$10 New User Bonus @ Bybit

🚨 VERY IMPORTANT NOTES BEFORE YOU START! 🚨

✅ Write down your referral code when signing up—you’ll need it again when applying for the MasterCard and possibly for future promotions.

✅ Referrer: Do not participate in the referral system unless you have successfully applied for a Bybit MasterCard. If someone uses your code before you have a card, neither of you will receive the referral reward.

✅ Do NOT deposit funds until your MasterCard application is approved! Otherwise, you won’t be considered a new customer and the 10% cashback cap will be US$75 instead of US$150.

✅ If you’re creating multiple accounts within a household, use the referral randomiser below for all accounts. Do NOT refer anyone by yourself in the same household, as Bybit’s risk control system may void bonuses, cashback, and other benefits.

✅ I’m sharing this to help you maximize rewards, but if you decide to invest, please do your own risk assessment. ⚠️

📝 Steps to Apply & Earn Cashback
1️⃣ Get a Referral Link

Click the Bybit MasterCard referral randomiser (the SECOND one, not the first Bybit Australia New User Sign-Up). Then, message OzBargainers to receive a referral link to sign up for a Bybit account.

2️⃣ Verify Your Identity (KYC)

Complete the KYC (Know Your Customer) verification—typically approved within minutes. For an Australian MasterCard, Level 1 verification is enough if you don’t need a physical card.

3️⃣ Apply for Your MasterCard

Use the SAME referral code from Step 1 when applying for the card. Approval usually takes minutes, but if your name matches a well-known person or politician, it may take up to 7 days.

4️⃣ Fund Your Account and Activate 10% Offer

Once your card is approved, claim $20 Spot Fee Saver from Rewards Hub, deposit/purchase at least $100 USD funds via bank transfer, P2P trading, other exchanges, or crypto wallets. You can then add the card to Apple Pay or Google Pay.
Trade any spot say Bitcoin for at least $100 USD, negligible risk if you buy and sell instantly, the fee saver will cover all fees.

5️⃣ Enjoy Your Cashback 💰

Use your Bybit MasterCard to earn 10% cashback, capped at US$150, for eligible transactions within 30 days. Check the Merchant Category Codes (MCC) listed at https://www.bybitglobal.com/en/promo/campaign/Card-New-Signu….

6️⃣ Explore Additional Bonuses

New users can easily earn US$50+ in extra rewards from deposit and trading promotions—worth checking out!

✨ Pro Tips for Maximizing Benefits

✅ Check MCC Categories: Find eligible cashback merchants at the OzBargain MCC Wiki. For example: ShopBack runs 100% cashback giveaways, meaning you get 100% + 10% cashback!

✅ Referral Links & Welcome Rewards: Each referral link may offer varying amounts of welcome rewards—from $5K to $30K. Check with referrer from the randomiser above. The differences apply to deposit and trading rewards, but MasterCard rewards remain the same across all links.

✅ Trade at least $100 will make you eligible for airdrop rewards, buy and sell instantly with Spot Fee Saver. The risk is negligible but airdrop is pretty cool. Last time I received US$630 airdrops.

✅ **If you don’t have crypto assets yet, you can try to purchase USDC on Coinbase with no fees if you PayID or bank transfer. Then transfer to Bybit for activation, spending and trading etc.

✅ Cashback After the US$150 Cap: After reaching the 10% cashback limit, you can still earn 2%-10% cashback based on your Bybit user level.

✅ The good places I know where 10% cashback is available: Most of Shopback Gift Cards, Amazon and eBay (some categories), Bunnings, Officeworks, IKEA, David Jones, Chemist Warehouse, Priceline, Booking.com, Trip.com, Anytime Fitness, DoorDash, Uber, 7-Eleven, Ampol, Myki, Opal, and etc.

  • I’ve completed their last campaign and can confirm everything worked perfectly. People will have tons of questions on this deal lol, happy to help!

    • So can you spell out the benefits and what I should do to gain the most benefits? Do I find cashback offers on gift cards like shop back to maximise value from spending before the first month is over?

Also it says I can get 10% cashback on subs like ChatGPT but is that only in the first month?

      TIA

      • +3

If you want free money, you can buy Shopback Giveaway voucher. They are 100% cashback + 10% from this card. Otherwise you can also spend on other gift cards or pay for your daily expenses say dining, transport etc. As for ChatGPT, I believe you are saying the 100% back not 10%? It's for their VIP customers, as long as you are a VIP.

        • +1

          What is Shopback Giveaway voucher?!?

          • @samehada: When Shopback do giveaway comps you buy entries into the competition. Each entry is $1, and you receive your capital back via cashback

        • Ah OK thanks

        • Will this work? Like buying 100% cashback shopback .

  • +4

Not sure why all the negativity, Bybits a huge exchange. I’ve been using their card for a year, works fine.

Purchased items at Amazon, eBay, Mimco and even Tessories, never an issue

    • +3

People don’t believe in such a good deal…

      • Makes sense, if it’s too good to be true, it probably is.

  • +8

Why does this deal look so complicated, if crypto is not complicated enough already for the average joe

    • It was easy before, but there were some people abused the system, that’s why it’s getting more and more restrictions

  • whats best way to make deposits?

    • You can buy on Bybit that’s the easiest way. Or you can deposit from other exchanges and wallets if you already have crypto assets.

  • After sign up, how to apply master card in app?

    • There is a card icon on the main page. Or click “More” if it’s not showing up

  • Is activate my bybit card ? Should I click that

    • Yes

      • Thank you

One question, where to get referral code copied from app?

        • On the main page, click Invite Friends

  • +3

Do you need to purchase crypto, paying spread + fees, and then convert it back into AUD when you make a purchase, paying spread + fees again? What is the total cost of spending with this card?

Also is it actually cashback or just fee rebate vouchers/non-withdrawable trading credit?

    • It’s cashback you can withdraw and spend. The total cost from my end is around 2% which even the basic 2% cashback will cover all the fees. And as a new user, there are vouchers to cover most of the fees too.

      • Can you guide how to save fees on deposit?
        Now it’s $3 for $100

        • I use debit card to buy on Bybit, also transfer USDC from Coinbase.

  • I think I have to learn something about crypto now..

  • +6

Way too complicated and too much effort to learn. I'll pass.

Have been using this card for a couple years (basically as soon as it came out in aus). its been really good for me.

    Pros
    - accepted anywhere, works as a mastercard. v useful particularly overseas, theres a 1% forex fee but thats offset by the 2% cashback (which is the usual rate, its just 10% for this deal). basically means theres no forex fees because of the cashback, so i use this everywhere i travel.
    - i trade crypto on bybit, and can instantly use that crypto to pay for things. dont need to offramp and convert to fiat is godsend.
    - the crypto you store, you can leave in the "earn" section of bybit. that means you get yield just from holding your crypto. so i leave usdc there, and it gets passive yield.
    - if you get to VIP, you get free spotify, netflix. chatgpt, amazon prime (and even lounge access if ur baller)
    - ATM fees (free for the first $100 USD monthly, with a 2% fee applied after)

    Cons
    - bybit got hacked by north korea in Feb this year, and lost $1.5bn of ethereum (largest crypto hack ever). lots of people panicked and withdrew their funds. CEO said all was fine. they off using their treasury (they're loaded). I would say that now this has happened, its more a pro, and they're 10x more strict with security as a result
    - all the various moving parts might be confusing if ur non-crypto native, but after you figure it out, its well worth it

the best way to load this up (because bybit doesnt do AUD market) is to deposit AUD onto coinbase, change that to USDC (theres no fees, not even forex fees) and then withdraw that USDC to bybit on some cheap network (like solana, base etc.) This is also the best method to buy crypto in general (use coinbase as onramp, but ONLY through USDC). could also just use OKX which has AUD market, and few of us have already doing all their campaigns

    • Appreciate the info mate

    • Thanks for the info - just wanted to hear from an existing user.

Quick question on the cashback - is that actually withdrawable without further steps? I’m seeing mixed reports - their website says the bonuses (cashback?) is only for use w/ margin trading or trading fees?

Any info on what’s required to get to each VIP level?

      Thanks mate

      • For trading vouchers these are different rewards. The 10% cashback is withdrawable and spendable. The VIP requirement is high. Click on the three dot on right top corner for more details

    • +3

for anyone depositing from okx it seems APTOS network seems to be the cheapest option as the fee is only 0.03 USD

    • Hi, thanks for the info. Will it trigger CGT event when paying with Crypto? Thanks

    • It appears there is a 0.9% crypto conversion fee, 1% FX fee and Bybit conversion spread (~0.35%) so AUD purchases would effectively incur ~2.25% fees plus the Mastercard FX spread

The FAQ says you only get cashback if you spend crypto so I think converting USDC to USD before spending to avoid the 0.9% fee would not work but has anyone tried this?

    • any difference between USDC and USDT?

  • +5

    Only these Category Codes (MCCs) will be eligible for the campaign: Transport - 4111, 4121, 4789, 5541, 5542 Fashion - 5311, 5611, 5621, 5631, 5651, 5655, 5661, 5691, 5699, 5948 Restaurants - 5811, 5812, 5814, 5499 Beauty & Wellness - 5912, 5977, 7230, 7231, 7297, 7298 Travel - 4511, 4582, 4411,4722,5309, 7011

Insurance payment will be eligible for this ?

        • +1

          I doubt it.

A merchant that primarily deals with insurance payments should use MCC 6300 (Insurance Sales, Underwriting, and Premiums). I do not see that listed as an eligible MCC. Examples of this MCC being used would be where you pay for insurance online directly with your insurer (e.g. making a manual payment to HCF on the HCF website).

Additionally, if you pay for insurance through a third-party payment service (e.g. Post Billpay, Sniip), the MCC will likely be different (but probably still something ineligible). For example:

          • If you pay an insurance premium in-person at an Australia Post outlet, the MCC should be 9402 (Postal Services: Government Only).

          • If you pay an insurance premium via Sniip, the MCC should be 7399 (Business Services: not elsewhere classified).

          • @WookieMonster: Thank you
Apart from shopback, is any other way to meet the spend , kindly share best to way to save ?

            1) car , home , health insurance ( looks like not eligible)
            2) school fees
            3) anyway we can buy online master prepaid card and use it wherever we need
            4) land tax , council bills , water bills or utility bills

            • +2

              @KH234:

              1) car , home , health insurance ( looks like not eligible)

@chanhoz has a worthy suggestion about getting a ShopBack Pets & Vets gift card, because MCC 6300 is one of the officially permitted MCCs on this gift card. However, keep in mind:

              • ShopBack Pets & Vets gift cards are functionally prepaid Visa gift cards, and not all merchants will accept prepaid Visa gift cards as a payment method. For example, some merchants will require a Visa card to support 3-D Secure before processing payments from it (in order to reduce their exposure to fraud), and prepaid Visa gift cards cannot support 3-D Secure.

              • The ShopBack Pets & Vets gift card can only be used for one-off payments. It cannot be used for recurring payments (and I think this is a limitation applied by Visa on prepaid gift cards).

              2) school fees
              4) land tax , council bills , water bills or utility bills

If you pay for school fees directly to the school, that would probably use MCC 8211 (Schools, Elementary and Secondary), although MCC 8351 (Child Care Services) or MCC 8220 (Colleges, Universities, Professional Schools, and Junior Colleges) could be used as well. None of those are listed as eligible MCCs for this deal.

Land tax and council bills will most likely use MCC 9399 (Government Services: not elsewhere classified) if you paid them directly at the relevant government agency.

Water bills and utility bills will most likely use MCC 4900 (Utilities: Electric, Gas, Heating Oil, Sanitary, Water) if you paid them directly to the utility company. However, some utility companies will use MCC 9399 instead, especially if they are government-owned utility companies.

If you pay for any of these through a third-party payment service, the MCC will likely be different (but probably still something ineligible).

A way around this would be to purchase a prepaid gift card from a merchant using an eligible MCC, then using that prepaid gift card to pay for any of these (assuming prepaid gift cards are accepted as a payment method). Keep in mind the purchase of the prepaid gift card will incur purchase fees, which will erode your savings.

              3) anyway we can buy online master prepaid card and use it wherever we need

You would need to find an online merchant that sells prepaid gift cards and also uses one of the eligible MCCs. I cannot think of one, and a quick check of the OzBargain MCC wiki (also linked in the deal description) does not show anything that would be eligible.

If you do not limit yourself to online merchants, there are two options to consider:

              • According to the aforementioned wiki, 7-Eleven reportedly uses MCC 5411 for its service stations and MCC 5499 for its standalone convenience stores (i.e. the stores that do not sell fuel). Some 7-Eleven locations sell $400 Vanilla Visa gift cards1 and $400 TCN eftpos gift cards (although each comes with a steep $9.95 purchase fee per gift card).

              • Some other service stations (e.g. Shell Reddy Express, EG Ampol, Ampol Foodary) sell prepaid gift cards, although Shell Reddy Express are the only ones I know of that sell larger denomination prepaid gift cards at some of their locations (e.g. $400 Vanilla Visa gift cards, $250 Coles Mastercard gift cards).

There are a few other brick-and-mortar merchants that sell prepaid gift cards (e.g. Coles, Woolworths, ALDI, IGA (selected stores only), BIG W, Target, Kmart, Officeworks), but all of these should be assigned MCCs not eligible for this deal.

              1. Vanilla Visa gift cards do not support PIN verification for in-person transactions, which means if you use them in-person and the EFTPOS terminal asks for a PIN, you need to opt for signature verification instead (and it will be at the discretion of the merchant if they will allow this). I also find that online merchants are less likely to accept prepaid Visa gift cards when compared with prepaid Mastercard gift cards.

              • +1

                @WookieMonster: Thank you very much
Only other option is airline ticket booking.

                • @KH234: One last question, in shopback there is 100% cashback available. Hope it’s eligible

                • @KH234: If you choose to book an airline ticket directly with an airline, my interpretation of the offer terms and conditions on the Bybit website is that only some airlines are eligible, as the offer terms and conditions does not list all airline MCCs. For example, if you book a ticket via the Air New Zealand website, it probably uses MCC 3025 (as that is the dedicated MCC for Air New Zealand), but I do not see MCC 3025 listed in the offer terms and conditions.

Additionally, some of the airline MCCs look wrong in the offer terms and conditions. For example, Bybit lists Qantas' MCC as 3066, but the MCC manuals for both Mastercard and Visa list Qantas' MCC as 3012.1 Also, when I made a purchase through Qantas Marketplace earlier this year, the MCC reported by my bank for that transaction was 3012.

                  1. These manuals both list MCC 3066 as Southwest Airlines.

                  • +1

                    @WookieMonster: Okay thanks again @WookieMonster
by any chance can we find what scoot airlines MCC code? I couldn’t find myself in googlr

                    • @KH234: I cannot find a unique MCC for Scoot in the Mastercard nor Visa MCC manuals.

The Mastercard manual lists the following for MCC 4511 (Air Carriers, Airlines: Not Elsewhere Classified):

Only those airlines and air carriers for which a unique MCC has not been designated.

It sounds like Scoot should use that MCC.

If you have ever purchased an airline ticket directly from Scoot using a payment card (e.g. Mastercard, Visa), you could ask the card issuer to provide the MCC for that transaction.

I wrote a lot because I didn’t want people to make mistakes. It’s actually straightforward if you already know crypto currency.

      • Thanks. Anytime Fitness is the only 'Need' I can spend on. Isn't any grocery store included?

        • You can get gift cards from Shopback for grocery stores. eg. Coles

Can pay my anytime monthly using this card. So the cash back goes into your account in bybit? Can I transfer is to my CommBank or something?

            • @sqheaven: Do you have to spend 2330 in 30 days?

              • @sqheaven: Yes you can sell the cashback and transfer to your bank. But why not just spend the cashback too? Yes it’s only valid for 30 days. The cap is 233 but you can spend less and get 10% of what you spent.

                • -2

@logan72: Kindly share steps how to load money without more fees if possible?

it is not within minutes more like hours already

  • When does the 10% cashback come thru? Did $500 shopback swap gc but only showing 2% pending.

    • The superswap? It may not valid. Check on the MCC page before you make large purchases. If not sure, test with small amount first.

      • Yep superswap. Seems like it's not covered. Oh well

        • +1

It’s wired the MCC code for superswap is 5816 for Digital goods: Games. If you want Coles, Amazon GC, buy them directly not superswap. The MCC for them is 5311 Department Stores. Check the OZB MCC page for more info

          • @logan72: Thanks.

Another question looking at the transactions for example the latest $100 purchase. Since i have staked my usdt, there are 4 transactions showing.

            Savings redemption (card) +66.39
            Sale usdt -66.39
            Coin purchase +65.47
            Purchase usd -65.47

What is the difference of these numbers? It seems like there are 2 charges of 1%?

            • @tajid: That’s only one charge of 1%.
              -65.47 to + 65.47 is 0% then 1% to 66.39, 0% to another 66.39

              • @logan72: 66.39 and 65.47 is 1.5% and 65.47 itself is more than $101 aud. Hence it felt like 2x1%

Not a big deal with the promo, just want to understand.

                • -2

@tajid: Yes the total cost is around 2%, which the basic 2% cashback covers all.

                • @tajid: There is an additional 1% fee incorporated into the FX exchange rate

There is also the spread for the crypto conversion and the Mastercard spread so the cost will normally be closer to 3% total

  • thanks mate. best deal in a while.

  • Pretty pain free process

  • Can I sign up now but only start to make the purchases from Jun 1?

    • +1

You can sign up and wait, but don’t deposit funds, don’t apply for a card. Also, there is a chance the deal ends. Last round the cap was 300 USD and for almost all categories, ended in March. Not sure when will this round end. I’d say the sooner the better.

  • Does this 10% cashback work at Banana Baby, Baby Kingdom, Baby Bunting?
    Thank you

    • Ask them about their Merchant Category Code, or if you have bought items with them before, check with your bank about the MCC. Then you’ll know if they are covered in this promotion.

  • -2

Can the Bybit Mastercard be used to pay Ergon Energy power bills, council water and rate bills, school fees and ATO while earning 10% cashback?

  • I am unable to deposit 100. I am getting "You're currently restricted from accesssing Fiat and Card Services". Did i did something wrong.

    • You probably used ID from restricted areas? Then you can deposit crypto assets from other exchanges say Coinbase

      • It was the issues with credit card looks like it does not accept credit card from Google Pay.
I used different debit card and my transaction got declined then tried to use payment through card instead of google pay. It is asking for 4 more verification due to previous decline. I gave up now, not worth it.

  • Does the new user referral have to be the same as the mastercard referral code? I’ve already registered the as new user before Mastercard referral.
