    ewww… Krogan.

For an extra $68 dollars you can get an Acer A200 or TF101 with 16GB storage and a much faster Tegra2 chipset with 1280x800 resolution.

Its a lot more tablet for your money. Think twice before buying Kogan — at best, they are nothing more than a shenzhen tablet with Ruslan's family name slapped on it.

    • From OW, that'd be an extra $169

Was your ASUS TF-101 (16 GB) offer also from OW, or where?

My math was bad sorry. Referring to the one with Cashback… wrong link!

        http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/66919

The price has unfortunately gone up now, but substantive point is, this tablet ain't worth $219 delivered.

        • -1

Also: the Acer seems to be based on Tegra 250… not Tegra 2.

        • Tegra 250 is Tegra 2…

an extra $199 and you can get an iPad 2.

  • Sorry - going to be a critic about this one. But for the price, its not to shabby for a general user, holiday tablet, etc.
Doesn't look like a usb 2.0 port…more like an adapter for this port?

and volume buttons at the 'bottom' of the tablet? doesn't work for me.
Resolution should be at least HD
    no + or -

Hard to please this bunch :)

    • Right you are!

WE KNOW ABOUT "Moore's Law" & are -IMPATIENTLY-
waiting for makers & vendors to learn about it.

        I prefer Murphy's Law.
"Yes, you will indeed drop that tablet and break the screen exactly 366 days after purchase" ;)

It's a chinatab, sold by an australian

Spend a bit more, get a better tablet

My only rule when buying a tablet: It should be at least most powerful than your phone. :\

    • Tough rule to follow if you have a HTC One X or even Galaxy S2….

      • ASUS transformer prime (tf-201) or the ASUS transformer infinity (tf-700). enough said

        • And the neg vote is for..?

  • have any reviews actually come out on this tablet yet?

  • Or you can just get the Novo 7 Aurora for like $180.

How can this be even posted as a bargain when the ad clearly states "Expected dispatch date: 25 Jun 2012".

That's a full 4 weeks minus one day from today, and it's not even a firm dispatch date. This should be removed and reposted when the supplier has stock.

Mr Kogan is a clever guy. Instead of paying his Chinese contractors for the product, shipping it here and selling it weeks or months later, he gets people to pay up front and knows exactly how many units he'll need. It's also a large turn off for me. I want to order a product and have it here in 2 days (AU) or a week or two (from overseas). Some buyers must wait 10 weeks or more (current 55" LCD TV offer).

    • i agree, negging this.

  • Have to neg this one. Its pretty dodgy to seek prepayment. I think it is likely illegal for a retailer to sell something based upon an 'expected delivery date'

    • I think you'll find that just about everything bought online is pre-payed…..
At least they're upfront about shipping times….

  • Google Nexus Tablet should be released(although overseas) around end of june, not worth preordering this.

  • prepayment will leave u in the dark if the company goes broke, neg

  • Neg based on timeframe, you can get a cheaper version on ebay and arrive quicker.

Is it just a coincidence that kogan rhymes with bogan? Shop smarter, shop elsewhere.

  • Many tablets with same or better spec cost less than $200. Negating based on "not so special" price + payment 26 days in advance. Most people here are likely gadget guys/gals like myself, when I want something I want it NOW :)
