  • I applied the code to an LG 8kg Heat Pump dryer - it seemingly accepted it but did nothing, price still the same. Oh well.

FYI looks like Shopback has 6% cashback.

    • Does anyone know if cashback is eligible on redemption of gift cards for Shopback?

Cashrewards explicitly says yes, but I can't see anything about it on the Shopback page.

      • Usually it isn't allowed for gift cards in general, but I did wonder about gift cards that are purchased within Shopback (as you can get a 3% cashback on them).

      • Based on the previous thread, yes. Cashback will track if gift cards are used

Also, atm the code isn’t listed on ShopBack. Chances are it may invalidate any cashback tracked. Better to purchase via Cashrewards

Any thoughts from ozb regarding the solt heat pump dryer vs everyone’s cheap fav/Aldi?

    • I also want to know this!

Can't speak for the specific model, but generally speaking heat pump dryers use about 1/3 as much electricity, so if you're running a dryer frequently then they might end up cheaper. From Choice:

The biggest argument in favour of heat pump dryers is energy efficiency. They use around a third of the energy of a conventional vented dryer, which has a big impact on your energy bill.

We've found heat pump dryers have an average 10-year running cost of $588, compared with an average of $1523 for vented dryers. And that's based on one run per week – if you're a heavy dryer user then the savings will be bigger, and you'll rapidly justify the higher purchase price.

Game changer when the cost of electricity goes up by 50%. Would be interested to see the original Choice report and the escalation cost of electricity.

        • Double it, should be close enough for a while.

they're all from the same manufacturer - https://residentia.group/

From what I gather all of the machines are pretty similar in the same kg range. The Aldi machine this year is 8kg, same machine as the Esatto 8kg I think.

      • I want to attempt the aldi one but everyone's busy to help me for the rush grab

    • Interested in the same dryer, but it looks be excluded from the promo it seems 😔

I read it as huge range of exclusions lol

    …which is probably not wrong

On another note, has anyone got their vouchers from the good guys? I bought a laptop from them on the 30/06 and was supposed to get store credit but haven't seen anything?

    • +1

I was just thinking the same thing! Nothing yet :(

    • +3

Today 14/07 is the date vouchers send.

    • +2

… just received an email from them at 9:04 this morning with a barcode / voucher number and pin number for $120 :)

      • +1

I got mine also for $120, at 9:31am, yay!

    • Wait, so that means y'all can get Cashback, as Cashback will track with the redemption of gift vouchers, and buy some new stuff!

  • Looking for a 65” C2 as my plasma just died.
Nearly $3600 here and it was under $3k last week :(

    • +1

yep, they've jacked a few things i've had my eye on as well!

  • 77" C1 is a decent price at $4395.20 if it's available nearby.

OOS in Qld I would say only store models left

For anyone who is in store, I attended just before this promo and they dropped this printer down 20% on the spot. After HP promos it should cost around $12.

    https://www.thegoodguys.com.au/hp-deskjet-2723e-aio-printer-…

    • How do you end up with $12?

      • $59-20%-$40 add about $5 for the HP ink sign up but I see there is a free trial so might not have to pay that. Haven't don't it yet

  • Bugger. Chromecast excluded

  • Anyone knows if possible for JB Hifi to match TGG (since they own TGG anyway)?

    • +1

If you're talking about with the use of the Promo code SAVEBIG, then I'd assume not.

      • Ah okay. Price match not applicable for price using promo codes yeah?

        • I've previously had them price match a good guys promo.

Would suggest giving them a call and asking.

  • +1

I'm suppose to get 80 credit but not received. How to contact them, any number?

    • +1

Appears the only way is to send them a message.
      Hope that helps!

    • FYI I contacted TGG on the evening of July 14th via the website as I hadn't received the bonus credit (possibly because I had to return/replace the original purchase due to a fault). I got an e-mail today apologising and offering an extra $20 credit and extended expiry to July 25th (full 7 days to use the credit per original offer).

  • Need 20% off DJI :(
