I assume this is the cheapest for this camera, I got one from Sony for $3299 price matching Camerahouse ebay and I can't see why Sony wouldn't price match Digidirect ebay.
Reason for price match is to use Cashrewards and get advantage of the 8% cashback.

      You probably won't get cashback on price-matched items anyway. After 7 hours, my order still hasn't been tracked.

          not with cashrewards .. they will not provide cash back for price match with sony (from July 1st onwards) - speak to them about it

            @RichieVn: That's new. It registered with CR for a Sony lens I price matched with them on the 21st June. Must have just gotten in if the rules changed.

              @iforumos: If it makes you feel better, the best you could have saved was $220, you have to deduct GST from a CR claim.

        I emailed Cashrewards this morning and they advised me that a price match does not impact the Sony cash back.

      Nope. I ordered Friday night. No update at all. Website says dispatch next day if ordered by 8pm. Let's see if they dispatch today as the next business day. I'm not in a rush to get it, just really glad Sony price matched even after eBay ran out of stock. Otherwise I would have got nothing to wait for… :)

    So it seems like the consensus so far with cashrewards is that you don't get cashback now due to being a price match.
    What about shopback (currently at 5%) What are people's experience with getting cashback after sony price match?

        I have just received a further email from CR indicating that they have decided to double check with Sony whether a cashback is indeed payable for a price match. They are still awaiting an official response from Sony.

      While we have tried to reach out to Sony several times, there is no official response that is available from them.
      We do note that the Sony store terms do not specifically exclude price matching so it's worth a try based on that.
