Does it also connect to homebase?

Yes it does. Although my experience is that it is somewhat flaky.

      • I’ve seen reviews say it doesn’t connect to the homebase, now I’m confused.

    • No, it doesn't - connect it to home WIFI and access through eufy security app.

    • No it doesn't. I have one of this.

Would skip this model. Have 2x of these and and they’re both not charging particularly well and both regularly don’t connect to the Eufy app. I’ve a number of other Eufy cameras which connect to the app flawlessly.

Best bet is to get a camera separately and get the add on solar panel. I’ve got 4 of these setups and they keep the cameras fully charged. Works out a bit dearer that way but much better than the model with the integrated solar panel.

  • No continuous streaming I believe. I understand not having it on the battery only models, but I would expect it on a solar model

Perhaps you overestimate how much power you can get from such a small solar panel.

  • I got a Reolink 2K camera during the Prime day sales, I did compare it to this one but the reviews I saw said the Reolink camera is better quality and there are additional features that the eufy doesn't have.

The Reolink is also cheaper. Are there any advantages to this other than the obvious fact that the eufy has a built in solar panel rather than external?
Edit: I see quite a few comments around saying that the eufy app is much better as well.

Watch out for the known security flaw with Eufy products. Anker have known about it for over 12 months and don't care.

    • For me, the Eufy system is just an extra layer of (consumer grade) surveillance and serves its purpose (for the price) reasonably well. As I experienced with Ring, both products have it's flaws. For the price and not having any monthly fees is a trade off I'm willing to take. I have my cameras mounted in a spot which you can only reach with a ladder which makes them harder to steal but obviously a determined thief could steal my ladder and use it to get to my cameras if they wished.

  • Does it rely on a subscription to cloud record?
Does it come with power adapter?

  • It does not to connect to home base , it's part of the solo range, internal storage that can be viewed remotely from the eufy app, excellent camera , solar charging is slow , so it will have to be charged once in awhile, no subscription to cloud needed as it's internal .

    • really depends where you mount the camera. I have 2 of these - one of them remains at 100% battery for one whole year, even winter time.
another camera struggle to get any sufficient solar energy, I have to take it down to charge
