If jb hi fi price match this and they still did the extra $500 bonus voucher, this would be a good deal

    • +6

They wont price match EDU deals.

      • +2

And even if they did then you wouldn't get the bonus buds2 or power adapter

      • Damn is that a new thing? I've been price matching Samsung edu with JB for the longest time no issues.

      • I have a friend who did it with out an issue

    • -1

They don't allow you to use $500 coupon on price matched item.

      • +1

They will. If you get the online link you can apply the 500$ code. I did it personally after price matching with Amazon.

        • +1

Mine did not work. And the chat support clarified the bonus only works instore for pricematched items

  • Get me zfold deals

  • Any trade in bonuses?

    • +2

Trade in available but I can't see any bonuses advertised.

    • Was advised by Samsung chat, that the s22 $400 bonus doesn't apply to edu store.

  • Is there a way to share to get to Edu store? I personally don't have access to .edu.au email address.

    • +1

Looks like it's available on my corporate epp account and also on consumer Westpac offers

      • +2

Thanks for checking. I've updated op.

      • +1

Thanks for checking, it seems also available in Gov portal. I do have access to the gov portal.

    • +9

No it doesn't… It uses snapdragon in Australia.

Then, it would be much better, my s21 ultra is Exynos and it's quite slow compared to last year.

  • Be aware, I am still waiting for my buds 2 from Feb preorder. Samsung's post sale support has been terrible, expect long wait on the phone and BS on the expected delivery date. They will offer refunds, which will basically means a few bucks for bundles.

    • That''s odd, i preordered the A73 in April, delivered in May and received the free buds2 a day or two after.

  • Anyone got issue logging into their edu account or just my account got deactivated? It seems to keep asking me for password and pass code to login for some reason.

    • I had a similar issue earlier. I cleared cache and all good again. Would’ve posted yesterday otherwise 🤦🏻

    • Having this problem too. Tried clearing cache per @ilovetofu suggestion but no luck so far :(

    • Same. Can't get into mine.

Update: Not working on mobile but able to sign in on laptop.

      • Damn, tried multiple browsers and devices still same issue for me

    • Same, tried clearing cache, and tried different browser, no luck.

    • I had the same issue. Login using a google account and select your uni email.

This late into the S22 cycle, might as well wait for iPhone launch window when big Samsung discounts and bonuses usually come around.

    • Agree it's worth waiting to pair discounts with trade up bonuses, especially if you're already in the Galaxy ecosystem.
      I managed to cop a S22 Ultra for $536 last week, upgrading from a S21 5G. Bananas!

      • $536, from where?

        • +1

Price matched the Prime Day deal at Jbhifi ($1386), traded in S21 for $350 and claimed the $500 bonus credit. $536 all up!

          • +2

            @ChairmanDan: Selling your S21 for $350.. ouch.

            • -8

@Jessie Ryder: $850 overall value says otherwise, legend. But yeah nah yeah nah, you're right; I'm hurting.

Sent from brand spanking new S22 Ultra

          • +7

@ChairmanDan: Handing in what must have been a perfectly good S21 and then paying $536 on top of that, is very different to '$536 all up'.

  • Just buy an unopened Telstra upgrade on FB Marketplace you can get the S22 Ultra 256GB 1300-1400 and I even saw a 512GB for this price.

  • This or an Iphone 13 Max?

    • I have both an iPhone 13 Max and a Galaxy S22 Ultra. I think the Galaxy is better personally and when they're both sitting next to me, I grab the Galaxy every time, but it really depends on what you want out of your phone. Are you hooked into the iOS ecosystem with your other devices? If you are, it might make sense to go with the IP 13 Max. If you're not, then for myself, I'd be going the Galaxy but then again, it depends on you!

    • As a Galaxy user for 10 years, the only reason I have not switched to iPhone now is USB C. All my iOS gripes (file handler, battery life, reasonable customisation of UI) have been mostly solved. Pair that with a more reliable camera (not necessarily better), consistent updates and better resale value and the iP13 Pro Max looks quite good. No USB C is enough for me to stick with Samsung for now though.

  • Seems like this phone is holding its price pretty well.

I keep getting an error when I click the Checkout. Anyone been able to order?

  • I keep getting 500 internal server error when clicking checkout. Is anyone getting the same?

  • Anyone have problem in the process of ID verification of the trade-in of JB? It kept saying my ID photo was not clear. I tried different phones and both passport and driver's licence.

    • Had this issue. Mine didn't work even after multiple attempts so finally used partner's and it worked after couple of attempts.

      • Thanks. You are lucky.

  • What does the invoice look like, last time I bought with bonuses it showed the price for the phone and the bonuses as $0, is that the same this time?

  • How is the battery life of S22 phones.

I have experienced the screen of time decreases a lot after 4/5 months of usage

    • I would say, not very impressive, 8G1 is power hungry and heats up really fast.

    • Looks like woollies are not part of EPP. I can't seem to find the link on the plusclub sites anymore…

  • +1

Since the latest 8G1+ has been released, the 8G1 is just a waste of sand.

  • Is EPP login busted on the Samsung store?

    • +1

      Yep

      • Ta. Glad to hear it's not just me

  • -5

If its not snapdragon I don't want it. 👎👎

    • Aus s22 is snapdragon

  • Seems like they have cheaper pricing. Just made a new post as this one is listed as expired: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/713873
