Yet another ASOS code, this time an extra 50% off but only for selected sale items, for men or for women.

Some examples of deals:

Also keep in mind the usual trick of changing to the UK ASOS website for an additional 10-20% discount on prices. For example the first New Look hooded puffer jacket changes to 12.50 pounds on the UK site which is equivalent to around A$21.67. With the extra 50% code that brings it down to $10.84. Nike long sleeve t-shirt is 26.50 pounds which is roughly $46, so $23 with extra 50% off.

Note that shopping on the the UK ASOS site you will need to pay the final amount in GBP so use a forex fee-free card if possible.

T&Cs:

Enter code HUGE50 at checkout to save an extra 50% off selected marked-down prices of styles included in the ASOS sale.

Ends 5pm AEST on 21 July 2022. Code can be used multiple times per customer up to a maximum pre-discount spend of $990 per order. Can’t be used with other promo codes or on gift vouchers, delivery charges, Premier Delivery or ASOS Marketplace. Country exclusions apply. Selected marked products excluded from promo.

Not many comments is this not a "bargain" ?

    • +6

Probably just because ASOS seems to always be on sale now so people aren’t that interested in it , quality over quantity seems to be the preferred way to go for deals on Ozb

      • +4

This similar deal posted 2 months ago got 265+ votes so who knows. ASOS deals are normally 20-30% off so 50% is the highest you're gonna get.

      • Thanks for the reply's - this explains why.

    • +2

I think there are some great bargains. Just spent $140

      • Just spent $280, but many will be returned I guess, won't harm to give it a try though

        • +1

Lucky you, whatever i don't like or is too small my kids scam off of me. Never end up returning something.

          • -2

@dosada: Well, gotta to manage your budget more tightly haha
I think I returned more $ value than what I kept from the May's sale

            • @NothingButPoor: Why? What's the benefit in ordering stuff and then needing to send back? Do you have a lot of free time?

              • +1

@kiriakoz: Ahh, lots of clothing from online shopping returns out to be different from what I expected, like sizes and materials etc.
If I can see and try in store, then of course I won't do that.

                • -1

@NothingButPoor: Nah, that makes sense actually. That's why I don't order as much with ASOS, but I should do what you do. I generally only buy if I know the brand size from previous clothes.

                  • +1

@kiriakoz: I'm the same as the other person- I almost always end up refunding something from my orders. Last order I bought 5 items, returned 4. Before than I bought 4 and returned 2. This time I went all out and got 10, expecting to return probably 2-3.

ASOS refunds are so easy these days- just re-seal the same bag and take it to the post office where they print out the label for you and done. The longest part is waiting in line!

                    • @johnn: Returns cost businesses so much money.

Most returns also end up in landfill, so it's not something to laugh about and be proud about.

If you're returning that much, stop buying online.

                      • -1

@[Deactivated]: We're talking about ASOS here- one of the largest online clothing retailers in the world. If they didn't want to handle returns they wouldn't make it so easy. Change of mind returns isn't part of the required consumer protections so if it really costs them so much money they wouldn't offer it.

I'd also like to see figures of "most returns" ending up in landfill. ASOS necessitates that returned items remain in it's original quality with tags attached. I've received plenty of items that have obviously been returned by someone else. If you try on a piece of clothing at a physical store and put it back it after it doesn't immediately become landfill- same thing here. Packaging from ASOS is literally the satchel it's sent in to be reused to return any items back- so no extra wastage there either.

I'm not saying I do this frivolous return-scheme with most businesses- but certain online stores like The Iconic literally tell you to order multiple sizes of the same item and return the ones that don't fit. They've obviously factored in returns into how running an online-only store works.

                      • @[Deactivated]: no to mention greenhouse emissions, petrol. A very unsustainable practice.

                  • -1

@kiriakoz: Yeah do that, buy all the things you are interested in, receive them and try at home, return what you don't like.
It doesn't cost as much to a business for all the shipping, and they actually generate more sales and saving the retail rent and staff cost by just operating from a warehouse.

          • @dosada: Haha I bought them some items too

  • Anyone know if changing to UK will affect shipping/returns? Also if paying on non forex-fee free card, how much different would prices be?

    • +1

You can still return them to the AU warehouse- I've done it multiple times. And I'm fairly sure they all ship from the UK regardless of which version you use.

Depends on the fee charged by your card really. The ASOS price will still be the same, it'll just be whatever X% your card charges to pay in GBP.

      • Will it always be cheaper than AU?

        • +1

I've found almost always yes, sometimes by a lot.

          Some examples:

          • New Balance Tenacity zip thru hoodie with logo in grey- A$40 on AU site or UK £19.25 (roughly A$33.42 = 16% cheaper)
          • The North Face Synthetic jacket in khaki - A$279.75 or £118.75 (~A$206.17 = 26% cheaper)
          • New Look hooded puffer in black - A$25 or £12.50 (~$21.70 = 13% cheaper)

Varies depending on the item but I've generally found the more expensive it is, the bigger the discount if you change over to the UK

          • @johnn: I just bought a aussie premier membership. Does this apply on the UK site?

            • +1

              @snoopydoop: Unfortunately not it seems.

              From their page

To benefit from your Premier Delivery subscription, it must be used on the ASOS site you purchased it on. For example, if you purchase Premier Delivery on the Australian ASOS website, the subscription will only apply to the Australian site and will not apply on the general ASOS site.

You can still order from the UK site with standard delivery if that works out cheaper and you're willing to wait. The min order for free standard delivery is £40.02 which works out to be A$69.60

  • I'm getting an error "Sorry! We couldn't apply the discount as all the items in your bag are not included in this promo.". Any reason why?
Tried the code in 3 different items and same error

    • +1

Doesn't work on all sale items, only selected ones.

To find selected ones follow these links:

  • Thanks OP. I got some north face tops!

  • Cheers - just got 6 items with a 50% total of just over $80 so free delivery as well.

  • If you can find your size, with an extra 50% off, some brands like Nike Adidas or Under Amour is def a good deal.
I spent $102 for a long sleeve tee, a windbreaker, a pair of shorts and a shirt. (Adidas Original, Jack Jones and Puma)
And shop back tracked about $6
    Very happy.

I went through 500 items, mostly all outdated ugly clothing.

I have alot in my saved list, nothing included.

Some okay sweats in there, but I got enough.

  • The code didn't work for the items you listed above. Contacted support and after 1 hour frustrating conversation explaining the issue to them, they'll be looking at them.

  • Is AU 7 size same as UK7 for these footwear?

    https://www.asos.com/au/asos-design/asos-design-tech-sandals…

  • Thanks for timely post OP! Purchased a whole new closet for an insanely cheap price

    • What about your “old” clothes

      • I’ve put on nearly 20kgs, so most of my old clothes are too tight! I could argue that tight clothes are the new trend, but instead, my old clothes will be victims of hand me downs😂

  • The one day I don't look at ASOS and this shit happens. Damn it.
