    Are you associated OP?

I've never heard of Bano but will keep my eye out for sign up bonuses

    • No im not. They have weekly promotion, which is pretty good. This weeks promotion is like 50% off Guzman. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/713007

      • Look very closely and you will notice this service is operated out of Chaina. That country is not mentioned in any of the terms and conditions but you will notice the referrals default to the Chinese country code. Their help desk also lists the time in Chaina when you are messaging them.

As much as I would love to give this service a go you need to accept they are required under chinese law to hand over all user data to Chinese authorities upon request. This includes the sensitive KYC forms of ID you have uploaded to their servers. Naturally they will assure us they don’t cooperate with government requests for user data in Chaina, just as tiktok did. Use at your own risk until we know more about this vague operation.

          Do you mean… China? lol

          Source?

        • Look very closely on the terms and conditions of any US company from Facebook, Google they all collect user data and keep in their US datacentres.Use at your own risk but no-one cares. LOL. If you think US companies are not handing over user data to their government you are kidding yourself. Same as here downunder, Telstra and all telecoms are bound to keep user browsing metadata for two years at least. False sense of security.

If you speak Spanish, this is a shitty deal

I missed out when it was cashback on bubble tea. So guess I'm never gonna sign up for this card lol

  • Do you need a physical card to use Bano in store?

    • You can add your Bano virtual card to Apple wallet. Works as well.

      • Not Google Pay?

        • Google Pay works

      • Do you get virtual card as soon as you are approved? Or need to wait for physical card before you can add it to Apple Wallet/Google Pay?

Trying to work out if I'll have enough time to sign up for this deal and get my card when an enticing deal appears.

        • I got my virtual card approved within one day and my physical card was delivered within 1 week after approved. Physical card will depend on your location I reckon.

  • Isn't Bano a Spanish toilet ?

  • Tempted.. but then the apps review is a mixed bag.. mostly complaint that customer service is non existent.

    Do or do not?

    • I did get a response via their chat within a day reg a cashback request

  • Just noticed that it is 15% if you spend $100 rather than 10% for the other tiers

    • You're right, $100 gift card sweet spot for $15 cashback

  • Hoping to get a gift card

    • How did it go? Did it work with gift card?

      • Haven't tried yet mate. But I'm sure gift card should work as there is no way Bano could figure out what we buy.

Just need to be mindful and buy $101 value and not $100 as that would not trigger cashback

      • Bought $101 gift card and got the $15 cashback immediately using my wife’s card.

However, I had transaction declined error when tried to pay using both virtual and physical. I thought the virtual wouldn’t work considering the amount is >$100.
Have tried multiple times(including pin reset) but no luck. Reached out to customer support via chat and they responded pretty much immediately even on a weekend. The issue was that my account balance was $100.998 and it rounded up as $101 on the screen.

The system declined the transaction as I’m trying to spend over my available balance. They asked me to pay using another card and send a receipt to them for their marketing team to apply a $15 credit. I’ll send them the receipt from my wife’s gift card purchase and hope they give me $15. 30% off $100 GC. Winning!

        • So u still got the $15 back on ur initial purchase, eventhough the transaction was declined?

          • @hanofee: Got the one from my wife’s account but mine got declined due to the $ amount mismatch.

            • @SydOzber: So did u buy 2x $101? And got 2x $15 (auto or manual)? I’m confused why 30%? Btw, I think u can go up to $500/day on tap before it raised a flag (from visa, not them)

              • @hanofee: Sorry if it confused you. Both my wife and I have Bano accounts.

First I made a purchase using my wife’s card. Bought $101 gift card and got the $15 credit immediately.

Next, I tried to purchase using my card… although I had $101 balance the transaction got declined. Couldn’t purchase and reached out to customer service. They asked for a receipt for a purchase using any card as it’s their system fault… I have sent them the receipt from my wife’s purchase and hoping to get a $15 credit.

@SydOzber: Where did the 30% come from? You got $101 ikea gift card for $86 (with the $15 cashback) so that is 14.85%

EDIT: Ah I see, you bought $101 gift card ONCE and want to scam bano into giving you 2 x $15 cashback.

                  • @CodeXD: If they credit the $15 to my account on which technically I haven’t made a purchased. So $30 credit for $101 spend 29.70%

  • I can't find a current link confirming details of the IKEA cashback promotion. Anybody?
