The new App Cam Solo PRO, a 100% wire-free, rechargeable, solar powered, spotlight and security camera in-one. The compact device can be placed anywhere around the home exterior to keep watch day and night.

Designed for Australian homes and weather conditions, the App Cam Solo PRO can withstand exposure to the elements to continuously and reliably capture footage with a 120-degree wide viewing angle. The addition of the spotlight allows users to better see the appearance of anyone approaching the property, while also acting as an effective deterrent to unwanted visitors.

The Full HD 1080p resolution delivers exceptional clarity. The Starlight CMOS sensor, together with the built-in spotlight, adds colour to the night vision footage up to 10 metres away to ensure a high-quality image. The optional Uniden Solar Panel can be used alongside the camera, positioned for optimal sunlight exposure. The solar panel recharges the App Cam Solo PRO, while providing non-stop power during daylight hours, allowing footage to be recorded and viewed without the risk of draining the battery.

Uniden security, meh. Better off buying anything else, except Swan

    • What's wrong with swann?

    • Uniden Solos are okay. The worst thing is the full HD video clip can't be downloaded via the app. Only a low resolution version can be downloaded via app.

If you want the original full res video, you need to physically remove the SD card, or use the cloud service. This is Uniden's attempt at pushing people to subscribe to their cloud service, by intentionally crippling the non-cloud functions. I notice they have a PC desktop app… I've never used it, not sure if this has same limitation.

  • OP - the information on your website is really limited. Like there is no info on how the storage works for this model. Micro SD? Cloud?

On different note, this model looks awfully similar to Argus 3 Pro currently at ~$170 on Amazon with better features: 2K camera, 2.4/5GHz wifi options. Wouldn't be surprised if they are manufactured by the same company.

Uniden cloud storage no subscription cost.
I bought the twin pack from Officeworks for $331.55 in Feb after they price beat Bunnings Current price at Bunnings is $349 for the twin pack. At the time Uniden had a solar panel promotion I got one free & bought a 2nd one. Best thing no subscription The Uniden Basic Plan Free - No Credit Card Needed, 7-day cloud video history. Can record to an SD card I didn't bother no need with the online 7 day storage.
    Happy with the cameras.
