Lenovo Thinkplus K3 Bluetooth 5.0 Speaker US$9.60 (~A$13.93) Delivered @ Kechuangrui Global AliExpress

YY7TA0N2D024

Great price on this Bluetooth speaker from Lenovo and the non-Pro model of the K3 from this deal. As for the differences between them I think it's just the physical design as they share the same specs. I have two of the Lenovo L01 speakers and they pack a lot of punch for the small size with really good sound quality.

Featuring Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity, clear sound with good bass, True Wireless Stereo for pairing 2 speakers together, 1200mAh battery providing 6-8 hours of playtime, inbuilt microphone and buttons on the bottom for power, media control and calls.

  • Not sure about the coupon you posted with it as it didn't work for me, but the new user bonus from AliExpress brought it down to AU $12.05.

  • Thanks op. Was looking at this a few days ago. Pulled the trigger with the code :)

  • Are these ok to be used a computer speakers if i buy 2 of them?

    • +2

Does your computer have Bluetooth? Normally I'd recommend a 3.5mm audio jack speaker.

      • Yes it has bluetooth. My other speaker just gone so looking for something temporary

        • +16

          so looking for something temporary

The delivery for this will be a month so you will need to look at temporary speaker for your temporary speaker

  • Can anyone recommend for Zoom Meeting?

    • +4

Bluetooth doesn't have enough bandwidth to do high quality audio out and in, so IMO any Bluetooth audio device that has a microphone will suck for online meetings. Your opinion may be different though.

You can literally test this for yourself, play music over a Bluetooth headset and load up a voice call; observe how the audio quality of the music drops. Do your colleagues a favour and just use your laptop's inbuilt microphone or even better, get a USB mic. Even a shitty mic close enough to your mouth would out perform a high quality Bluetooth mic (which, no way this is).

Source: am in zoom meetings all day with people on airpods.

      • I got a lapel mic, but seems to have big problems with windows laptop mic in port, but not my android phone port (obviously no sound out).

        Perhaps I need a splitter….

      • +1

I don't think you can generalise it for all Bluetooth devices. My QC 35 II works pretty good over Bluetooth for zoom calls. It feels bit heavy if you have to wear it all day long depending on how many meetings you need to attend but works way better than average usb devices and in-built microphone from laptop.

        • This is all very subjective, but at least in my opinion they don't. I have airpod pros and a pair of QC35 and in my opinion they all sound terrible. The issue isn't necessarily bandwidth, but more the bluetooth profiles and support for them across devices.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and if this is what you have been using day in and day out for years, than it will probably sound fine to you. I regularly swap to a wired headset on my PC when gaming and the stark difference between gaming and work audio calls makes it very noticeable to me.

edit: also, sometimes I will use airpods for convenience and be forced to switch mid call to my wired headset if my batteries die. Whenever I do this, I always get comments that the audio sounds way better.

          • @cretin: Well your original comment sounded like any cheap usb mic will perform much better than any BT headset with mic which I don't think will be the case. Of course wired headset for gaming or surround sound music / movie vs clear zoom meeting audio are completely different usecases. For zoom meetings, all you need is some good quality noise cancellation support and a decent BT headset.
And I'm not saying that lenovo k3 will work out better as I haven't used that myself but just wanted to highlight when you mentioned any BT device won't work well for zoom calls.

      • +2

Bluetooth 5 has been around for years and fixes that issue.

        • +3

This. Bluetooth has plenty of bandwidth in 2022

  • Thanks OP got one

  • Thanks for this price worth a shot

  • +1

They still use Micro USB charging ports? Wow, thought they would have moved onto USB C instead.

    • +4

Yeah that's a bummer… Probably pushes me towards not picking one up.

      • -2

(profanity) OP didn't mention it. useless two devices that i dont need just arrived

  • Is it good for teams meeting? (Mic only)

  • Hmm wondering if its worth getting a second one or not….

  • Would these work for watching videos?
Google maps voice guide often misses the first second of direction info on my cheap (but pretty decent) Bluetooth speaker. My old Philips tiny speaker has no lag at all.

    • I've recently encountered this with a Bluetooth adaptor for my car, whilst listening to audiobooks. I believe it's a battery saving design that hibernates the device during periods of silence until it detects sound and begins playing again.

This is fine for most music options and makes the battery life/power consumption stay low, but since there's no option to disable or change the parameters of the setting half of my audiobook gets cut off. I had to speed up the entire playback to ensure the gaps weren't long enough to trigger the sleep mode! So stupid.

  • Do these pair like other Bluetooth speakers? I looked it up, and everywhere it says not more than 2 speakers can be paired. I was wondering if you could pair 10-20 of these? Would be great to use, like for example, at an art exhibition. You can keep the speakers just near the exhibits, while keeping the entire space silent (especially huge halls with poor acoustics). Would be way more economical to do this with 20 paired speakers priced at $10 a pop.

  • It's showing $14.54🤔

    • After the coupon?

    • +1

Same here. Coupon not working it seems.

      • Are you using desktop browser, mobile browser or app?

        • shows 14$ as well for me , using desktop!

            • @Clear: yeah bud , applied as well but shows 14.60
all good 50cents different will get it.

              • @SamyKn: Oh that's a different issue. If you're using AliExpress' or PayPal's AU$ rate it'll be inflated. If you have a currency conversion free card in PayPal, then set your website currency to USD and at checkout in PayPal click "See currency options" to bill the card in USD. Then'll you'll get close to the AU$ in the title.

    • 61 cents more? No deal…..

  • Worked for me. Thanks OP

  • Looks like a pepper shaker

  • Got one for ~$14. I've been looking for something a bit louder than my phone speaker for general use. Recently wanted one for the beep test and excercise guides. Ended up using my car speakers but less than ideal.

  • +1

I found it currently for $25 on Amazon AU. https://www.amazon.com.au/Lenovo-K3-Bluetooth-Portable-Wirel…

Review is not good on another page: https://www.amazon.com.au/Portable-Bluetooth-Speaker-Wireles…

The "weird rattle noise" could be just the speaker vibrating on the desktop because it's not heavy enough.
Edit: The control buttons being on the bottom seems a bit inconvenient.

Will you be happy for half the price? I don't know. Probably ok for listening to podcasts.

  • Just refreshed this item page, and price dropped a little. Staying in AU dollars, total went from $18.04 (after VAT applied) down to $13.21 with Op's coupon applied. Apparently I can't have too many BT speakers….

  • +1

Thanks, bought 1 for US$8.72 (AU$12.62 on my credit card app)

Well i got both of my speakers. neither of them pair with any of my devices. And i found the connector is microusb. OP swindled us. Worst purchase ive made in a long time.

    • What a ridiculous accusation. Why would I try to swindle anyone? What on earth would that possibly achieve?

As for the Micro USB port how is that my fault? Did I mention it uses anything else? Did I even mention it uses Micro USB? No. That's on you for not doing your own research before buying.

So you hold the power button to turn it on, then what happens when you try to pair?

      • -2

it's worth mentioning it's microusb if you've already got it. i did do a google search and didn't find it mentioned anywhere. if you have one it's the first thing you'd mention in a review. So thanks for nothing.

And yeah i did the power thing, hold it for 3 seconds, it beeps, it shows as some chinese name which wont map with any of my devices (S22 and new PC). This product is a huge dud.

        • Well here's the thing… I don't have one.

          • -1

@Clear: lol so you did play us for fools. thanks man.

            • @magnitude: How? I never said I own one.

              • -1

@Clear: by posting and hyping up a shit product which you dont even own

                • @magnitude: So a prerequire for posting a deal is owning the product and no descriptions that describe the product. You're a joke.

                  • -1

@Clear: no you're the joke posting stuff that is junk.

                  • @Clear:

I place them on each bedside table to play relaxing (and sometimes romantic) music and it's very clear.

    • "OP swindled us."

It's not OP you purchased from, they are just a user who posted something they found. It doesn't even guarantee that it's a good price.
So I would think you need to do at least some of your own research before buying anything on ozbargain.

Why so many positive votes? Well it's easy to explain ozbargain users love seeing low prices.

About your pairing issues. Have you tried hard resetting the speakers? There should be instructions in the user manual, or sometimes it's a tiny hole where you stick a paper clip into.

I'm not sure but I think I can see it on the Phone Call button in this image here. https://ae01.alicdn.com/kf/H814997b4f3a8484699005def4d596662…

Turn on the speaker, then put a paper clip in that hole and you should feel it pressing a tiny button, hold the paper clip in and make sure the tiny button is depressed for like 5~10 seconds and let go. The speaker should boot up and be ready to pair again. Try that.

  • I just received my K3 speaker from this deal.
For under $15 I really can't complain but sound isn't very enjoyable. Very Trebley.
The smaller mini Anker speakers are way better but also cost me double this.

  • Got my one, it doesn't have volume control button.

  • Was anyone able to get two of these to work together with TWS?

    • +2

Found it in case anyone else got two and wants to use them for stereo PC/laptop speakers (though agree with other comments above the sound is everything that you would expect for $<15)

      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ddjfcbKgnTE

How to Pair Lenovo K3 Stereo (2 Speakers):
      1. Long press the ON button on both speakers at the same time
      2. Then press 2 times the play button on one of the speakers (to start pairing)
      3. On the main speaker the notification LED will flash blue. while on the second speaker the notification LED will be blue continuously (standby)
      4. Connect the speaker by activating bluetooth on the device to be connected

Note: If you want to unpair, press 2 times the play button on one of the speakers.

      • you don't need step 1, just turn them both on, while they are in BT discovery mode, go straight to steps 2… :)

  • Thanks Clear. Got mine today and it sounds as good as you'd expect for $14!

Great for the beach or anywhere where you don't want to ruin your more expensive speakers.

  • Thanks Clear. Got mine today and it sounds great for the price.
