Dodo $2 Pre-Paid Magic SIM - FREE Today from 7/11 Spencer Street (VIC)

00

Hey guys, just got off the train at Spencer Street and saw a Dodo promotion in 7/11 at Southern Cross station where they are giving out free Pre-Paid Mobile Sim Packs for free.

Apparently they are giving away the SIM packs until 3PM today and spoke to the guy running this and he told me that they will be at the Swanston Street 7/11 store on Monday June 4 th from 10 to 3PM and at the 7/11 RMIT on Tuesday the 5 th from 10 am to 3PM.

Just checked online now and they also have their Unlimited Pre-Paid pack down from $39.90 to $19.95. So you can use the free SIM to sign up to that.

The sims are also free online, so there isn't a need to pick one up.

  • Hate Dodo. Keep calling me for rubbish deal.

  • Can we get it without giving personal ID? Maybe this is a reason to pickup rather than order online?

    • Not legally.

  • I don't understand this new DODO Magic SIM for PREPAID customers.
(Ignore the Unlimited $39 or $19 SIM)

You select the free Magic SIM simcard Online via the website, here, on the left-hand side:

    http://www.dodo.com/mobile/prepaid-mobile/prepaid-mobile-pla…

You buy $10 worth of credit, online, via the DODO website.
This lasts you 60 days, according to this:

    http://m.dodo.com/mobile/prepaid-mobile/prepaid-mobile-plans…

You now get an extra $10 credit FREE, via their "Double your recharge credit" Promotion. So now, you have $20 on a SIM card.

    Question 1):

Will your credit now last you 120 days? Or 60 days?

Ok, so now you get the SIM card sent to you by postal mail and you receive it in a couple of days.

    Question 2):

How do you now make it have 1GB data?
It says your SIM will now only last 30 days:

    http://m.dodo.com/mobile/prepaid-mobile/prepaid-mobile-call-…

So, will this SIM card now last 30 days, 60 days or 120 days?

    TOTALLY CONFUSED!

    • Credit will last 60 days. It says double your recharge value, not double its expiry period.

1GB of data will cost $5 extra, and will last 30 days. The 30 days is referring to the 1GB data only - so it running out doesn't mean the phone stops working. Instead, after 30 days you will be billed at 5c per MB for data.

  • They are not free on line!

    • How do you arrive at that conclusion?
