    Nice, may go ahead and buy the dyson. I will be travelling overseas soon and thinking of GST refund. With Melbourne airport, can i check this in or must I hand carry the dyson?

          Hmmm, someone might have misunderstood in that post. Yes you have to declare, but you are still entitled to TRS within your allowance, it has not changed according to ABF https://www.abf.gov.au/entering-and-leaving-australia/touris…

          If you bring goods back into Australia for which a GST refund via the TRS has been claimed, the goods must be declared, and if the value of those goods (combined with any other overseas/duty free purchases) exceeds the passenger concession allowance, any applicable GST and/or duty may need to be paid unless another concession (example, all personal clothing – except furs) is available.

          BTW May be I am not a hardcore OB'er, but I would not lug around a box that size overseas and back to make a saving, I'd rather travel light and enjoy the trip…

        If travelling as a pair, people will just get the travel partner to bring it back. Obviously best to throw out the box and use the item or wear it.

    Are these codes the 'monthly code' you are supposed to get as an eBay Plus member? I haven't gotten any codes in my eBay summary since initial signup code.

      Good question. I’m following this so that I get to know this.
      EBay is the worst and I wouldn’t even pay a dime. I had 12 months eBay plus and I got no value out of it. I’m waiting for a refund for my second year membership fees.

      The code only shows up at my ebay summary page on ebay website. Doesn't show on ebay app dont know why. I have missed many until i finally use chat on ebay website to ask about the monthly $5 code.

        I had used the special.com.au discount so got another 15% off there and bought discounted ebay gift cards using those but still feel like I left money on the table. eBay has been super stingy with the generous codes.

        Hate to break the bad news but

        Purchases that do not count towards this challenge are those in which do not meet the store's respective terms and conditions (including but not limited to cancellations, returns, exchanges, using unapproved coupons, purchasing excluded products/categories).

          It should be fine, unapproved coupons have worked for a while now, you won't get the regular CB but it should still approve at $0 and complete the challenge. There's some discussion about this in that deal as well.
