If you don't post your shipping cost on ozbargain, you're gonna have a bad time.

$2.48 per light bulb inc postage. My local Woolworths usually sells these in packs of two for between $4.50 and $5 per light bulb, so this is a good price. Even if one arrives broken it's still good.

:), If ordering 5 Packs at a time the cost drops to 24c shipping per globe so $1.56 per globe delivered. Packaging is good so unlikely to break.

  • The one important question that no one has asked is, are they warm white or cool white?

  • +1

    WARM WHITE! :)

Not a bad write-up on the difference between warm white and cool white. For home warm white is preferred usually.

    • I put cool whites in the bathroom and love them much better than the warms they replaced. Installed into an IXL light/heat/fan combo.

EDIT: actually I think they are daylights

      Daylight completely throughout my house.

Much nicer once you get used to not having everything bathed in yellow.

  • too bad not slim

I'm not slim either unfortunately. :)

  • I tried to buy 3 but it's showing $8.95 shipping, any ideas?

  • Did you have any other item that are not included in the shipping cap in your cart? Shipping cap covers only items in that catgeory. I have checked and all orders with only the globes are only $6.95 shipping for up to 5 packs. Please let us know so we can assist further. I will get our accounts to refund you the difference back to your paypal account or other payment method if for any reason the system is charging you more.

Nope, I just have 3x of the globes in my cart with no other item, tried Firefox / IE and both show $8.95 shipping.

Edit: I'll just make an order and mention the ozbargain url for this deal in the comment section.

      • Strange as all the other orders are coming through as $6.95. Just put a comment in your order (comments section) and we will refund you the $2 immediately as I can not see any visible reason for that?? If anyone else has the same issue please do the same and we will do a refund back to your paypal acc or credit card for the $2.

        • Does the $6.95 shipping cap still apply? Have just put in an order for 4 packs and was charged $9.95 shipping. I mentioned the $6.95 shipping cap and the URL for this deal.

Have had good experiences with GE and philips CFLs lasting longer than Mirabellas, so hopefully these should last me a decade :P

    • Rep, despite doing what I said above, I was given the following comment in an email from your staff a few hours later: "Shipping cap is $6.95 min/start and adds $1 per capped item(s) up to $9.95 max, our cap has worked this way since its inception last year and the freight is correct." I've put through a request to cancel this order.

  • Any screw type connection Rep?

$1 each at dimmeys - I think nation wide

    • $1 per Mirabella CFL. Damn cheap! In my experience it's a good brand. Pity the nearest store is 400km from Adelaide.

      • +1

Okay brand, wouldn't flatter it further than that. I find compared to the likes of Phillips and GE they tend to have a more noticeable flicker. Haven't bought a Mirabella for 2 or 3 years so maybe they've improved things since then I'm not sure.

  • If you had cool white I'd get some.
