Osprey Porter 46 Duffel Bag Red $119.97 Delivered @ Paddy Pallin

220

Osprey Porter 46 Duffel Bag on Clearance, cheapest that I have seen. Has great reviews and considered fit for a carry on bag on most flights. It weighs 1.5 kg so leaves you 5.5 kg for your stuff on a standard carry on allowance.

  • Noticed they made a refresh of this bag the laptop zip is on the side now. not sure of other changes they made.

  • Osprey is the shit.

  • Dang even cheaper than the last one, only red but great deal nonetheless. Have yet to use the bag I bought from last deal (good old days where we traveled a lot :/) but build and quality looks/feels solid. Great price I think.

  • Is this too big for a travel day pack?

    • +1

This is more focused as a one bag travel bag, I tend to use an osprey stuff pack when i am at destinations for trips out of the hostel hotel etc.

    • too big for a day trip. It is enough for multi-day or even multi-week travel from town to town but may not be good for hiking.

i have the 30 and i think its just the right size for a day pack.

    • Bigger than you need, but not too heavy.

    • This is carryon size

  • looks massive

      Thats what she said.

    • The 46 stands for 46L, a typical backpack is probably 20L or so, a big one 30L. This is a travel pack and constrained by just the carry on requirements, but note that this is probably the US airline requirements which is substantially larger than some others.

It's the perfect size, just fits hand carry baggage. This bag singlehandedly has stopped me from checking in luggage anymore. Critical now with all the lost luggage out there!

  • Dang, OOS

  • OOS already

Had mine for over 10 years. Excellent.

  • I am backpacking and need a 10 kilo (total) bag for carry on.

    Anyone seen any?

    • +1

This would be good. It's too big really for the 7kg limits.

      • +1

I had this for a year and its wonderful. I agree it is abit bigger than your typical 7kg bag, but I have no issues with any airlines regarding its size as long you comply with 7kg limit.

  • Always use luggage before, so im pretty new on this kinda bag, how is it compared to kathmandu? My friend asked me to check on kathmandu, despite of the price i was wowed with it, so considering alternative e.g decathlon

    • +5

Kathmandu is the Kmart of outdoor equipment.

      • O wow didnt expect this comparison, i am very cheapass

    • decathlon is the reject store of outdoor equipment

      and Osprey is the ferrari

      • +2

        Osprey is the ferrari

I don't know if you have been watching the F1 recently, but they haven't exactly been reliable. So I would lean towards Osprey being the Mercedes of backpacks

  • Love being able to get free fish when I draw a card
