Gulf Western SYN-X 3000 10W-40 Engine Oil 5L $14.99 (Limit 2 Per Customer) @ Autobarn (in-Store Only)

200

Cheap less than $15 5L synthetic engine oil.

It's actually yellow/orange color not gray color packaging

Luckily found some stock today, was glad to see some still there. I reckon they wont have these after this weekend ( I mean probably that stock would run out). Thanks to their product limit of 2 per customer, hoarders have not been able to hoard on this.

Supercheap auto chat been super $h!t to me, never honoring their price beat guarantee. So Ultimately no choice than to ditch Supercheap auto.

  • Supercheap auto chat been super $h!t to me, never honoring their price beat guarantee.

Did they give a reason why?

Last time I tried SCA claimed it was because Autobarn had no stock listed, but when I went in to my local SCA and told them there was stock at an Autobarn about 10km away they then rang that store to confirm and then did the price beat.

    • Did they give a reason why?

I only tried their Online chat system,

They said item was not available to buy within 7 days instore or online. I even went as far as giving the website d!chea the phone numbers of three autobarn store closest to me, He didn't budge. I said fine SCA wont get my business then.

  • Apparently when I spoke to one of the folks in store about the difference between gray and orange packaging, it is a repackaging of the same product down to the codes. Odd thing is that they changed the terms from Semi-synthetic to Synthetic. Is that going to make a significant difference?

      terms from Semi-synthetic to Synthetic

Yes that kinda confused me a bit too into thinking that the newer packaging is Synthetic (aka Full synthetic)
But apparently reading the product description (from website) says Synthetic blend ('SYN-X 3000 10W-40 is a premium blend synthetic motor oil'), so essentially it means same thing as Semi Synthetic.

      • Cool. Glad to hear that!

The product with newer packaging doesn't say synthetic blend or semi synthetic anywhere though.

But it really doesn't make much difference dude. Technically Synthetics is only better.
