  24GB is overkill unless you're running machine learning workloads (might be some other use cases, but don't imagine games will perform any better with that much VRAM).

  Would still love to have one though :)

      You're still not going to be tapping into the full 24GB of VRAM, so may as well go a cheaper version of the 3090 (happy to be proven wrong though).

    There's plenty more use cases for more VRAM than just ML, like video editing, video rendering, VFX, image editing, 3D work, etc. If you do any of those even semi-professionally then it represents a genuine case to get it over a 3080.

  These are dropping in price because 4090 might come out soon. Recommend hodling till then. These will probably be cheaper.
