Gamers, before going for 3090ti, please watch few videos on YouTube to compare 3080ti against 3090ti. Might help you save some bucks.

You would be crazy to buy one overseas, no local warranty is a biggie and import fees on top

    • Made worse by this being an AIO model

  • +2

Jesus look at the price! Why?

    wait for 4000 series bois

  • The rumor says the 4090 RRP will be lower than 3090ti.

    • +3

Rumours say many things, until nvidia comes out with definitive information I don’t care

If you're the type of person to drop 2 grand on a graphic card then you're the type to person that should wait for 40xx.

No, you're the type of person to drop 2k on a 3090 Ti today, and another 2k when the 4090 comes out.

You need to add 10% tax for import item and $74.61 for shipping, which make it around $2,431 AUD, and most likely hard to get warranty.

    • If more than 1k, you will pay more tax instead of the normal 10%.

      • What? Why?

          https://www.abf.gov.au/buying-online/buying-online

"For goods with a value over AUD1000, you will need to fill out an Import Declaration, and pay duties, taxes and charges at the border."

For the import declaration, most logistics will charge you extra (100-200) and then duties + 10% GST on top of them.

          • @vihand: Ahh effers. Almost like double taxing eh?

          • @vihand: Always thought that tax/duty would be 10% in total when over 1000AUD…Thanks for the info and feel lucky that I didn't buy any item from international seller over 1000AUD.

          • @vihand: Just search online and find this on https://avantifm.com.au/duty-gst-on-imported-goods/:
Consignments valued over AUD $1000 will be assessed for Customs duty and taxes. Duty rates vary from 0% to 10%, however most goods attract a 5% rate of import duty and 10% Goods and Services Tax (GST).

The import duty would be paid on Customs Value (actual price paid for the goods)

GST of 10% is calculated as follows:-
Actual price paid for the goods
            Plus duty
Plus the cost of freight and insurance

  • $999.00 by the end of this year.

    lame and rip off

  • “Hybrid cards” just means it takes up more space and still has a noisy fan

    • It may be useful if you want to install multiple cards without raisers, 4 such hybrid cards would be much less noisy compared to 4 blower style cards.

  • Yeah nah.

my budget is $1000. I'll wait
