It's currently 6 degrees at Melbourne Airport and dropping.

When the temperature drops to 5 degrees it's $5 sweet pancakes at the Pancake Parlour and that can only mean one thing.

It means that if you live in Tasmania you are out of luck. <evil laugh>

But for those of us who live in Victoria it's time for all Victorian ozbargainers to stampede towards the Pancake Parlour. See you there later tonight as the forecast low is 0 degrees for Melbourne Airport.

    You are welcome although I think everyone is Tasmania is out to get me now! Fortunately Bass Strait is protecting me from the angry mob down south.

    I'll just hang back for another 15 minutes and if the temperature stays down I'm off to Knox PP.

    Remember that the temperature has to be below 5 degrees at the time you pay, not when you order.

    The app is only showing tiramisu pancakes even though it says chocolate ones are meant to be $5.

    Anyone else having this issue?

    Just checked and it has shot back up to 5.1 degrees. Rumor has it that hot air from hundreds of thousands of angry Tasmanians has just blown in from the South.

    This is why it pays to wait a little to make sure the temperature is going to stay down.

    Dont worry though, there will be $5 pancakes soon.

    This offer is going on from last couple of months. I was at Fountain Gate a while back and they also have the same offer running. Got an in app notification and also saw the same offer written on their board that all original sized chocos will be sold at $5 till close tonight.
    I guess it is available at all pancake parlors and not just melb airport.

      It's all the Victorian stores but they use Melbourne Airport as the temperature at all stores.

      Most likely -1 in early hours of Saturday. Restaurants most likely open at 9. It probably still will be about 5 degrees tomorrow at 9am.

    I'm loving all of these temperature based deals lately… Would be great if we could get some bargains based on other aspects of weather, too. Humidity based deals, wind based deals, etc. The possibilities are endless!

      What- you definitely got ripped off. Did you mean $40 for 2x short stacks, a quick google search should be able to get you BOGOF short stacks (shop a docket offers etc)
