  • Can you connect more to the end?

    • Not mentioned in the ad or manual so probably not

"Spotted at my local Kmart after a bender"

Don't know if I can trust a recommendation made after a bender

Every bender ends at a 24/7 Kmart. It's where you sober up!

Or get your photos printed out from the kiosk at 3am. Cos why not.

        • Don't forget smelling all the diffuser oils and candles. We also try to spot the clothed security guards.

          • +6

@Clear: Yeah, the naked security guards stand right out.

        Maccas run after?

        • Nah just buy all the chocolates and lollies in the checkout line area

          • @jjjaar: Kmart need to implement candy bars like target had back in the day for these 3am bender sessions

  • How big are the bulbs? Golf ball size?

  • Internet connection required?

    • +2

There's a button on the power control box that'll toggle through the colours. For the more smart features you need an internet connection for the Tuya app to work.

For those with Home Assistant you can use Tuya Local to control Tuya devices without the cloud component ;)

      • Thanks, I don't have an internet connection at home and don't want those eavesdropping devices but pressing buttons is good 👍

    Power source:
    AC output: 5V 1A
    Input: 1000V-240V / 50/60HZ / 5W

Think they will have a few returns if people power up with 1000V!

The first bulb to last bulb length is 5.5m

      550cm = 5.5m.

Has someone been on a bender?

      • But you're not as confused as him are you.

Have you learned that 100cm equals 1m yet? If not here's a metric system conversion song to learn :)

    • +2

Not sure why you keep pushing this? You do realise that the power cord is separate to the rest of the bulbs?

This is also a good deal. Addressable RGB. I have too many led strips though otherwise I'd buy

    • Cheap as, at $19. 18 leds per metre is rather low-end, though. I might get one just to experiment with in HA.

  • Looks like what they used in a quiet place movie lol

Wife says no - you've got enough ozbargain crap lighting around the place - quote: "It's already like a showground"

    • Prob shoulda stopped at the distortion mirrors aye

    • We should hang out
Also struggling where to install half a dozen smart lighting I got for cheap thx to ozb 😂

  • Anyone had issues getting the Tuya app to find and pair these lights. Thought the first set were broken so swapped them out for a new set today. I've isolated 2.4 band, turned off wifi6 but nothing will get them paired.
I have a ton of other smart devices in the home too, hue, genio, smart things, Google, Kasa, wiz. Never had this much trouble.

    • I'm going to answer my own question just incase someone else runs into this issue. The instructions don't explain properly that you can turn on AP connect mode by holding down the button for 5 sec till it flashes quick, you then click and hold again for another 5 sec and it'll flash slow. You can then connect to the device using the AP option and it'll be called "SmartLifexxxx"
