Not $3.80 but still a good deal. A sign of the times, perhaps.

      Dumbest comment of the day?

Amazon S&S is BS. They can increase price anytime they want. It's not locked in price.

Just do it for the initial discount and cancel.

If you're buying this because you're lactose intolerant, try oat milk instead. Tastes better, and is way better for you vs. Soy.

Link. Good not to spread misinformation.
No evidence of that & soy has more protein.
I like both, most people know bonsoy works and tastes best for coffee, but everyone's different.

      PS Thanks Op ordered some.

      • Yeah everyone's different. I tried oatmilk in my coffee and I was won over. But things like this also depend on the brand as they use different ingredients to create their mixture.

My personal favourite is Califia Farms Barista blend, then Oatly is good. Both steams pretty well. But then Minor Figures is absolute rubbish.

Going back to soymilk, can't go wrong with Bonsoy really.

        • Yeah oatmilk is pretty neutral and smooth, not quite as smooth.

I don't mind either and good to grab those Oatly ones (or the similar vitasoy one) when half price, as bonsoy isn't always on special.

      • Soy is notorious for containing high concs of xenoestrogens (specifically phytoestrogens) - I didn't actually think I needed to substantiate that fact. Link, with URI context to the most relevant part:

        https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1480510/#:~:tex…)%20at%20estrogen%20receptors

Yes, there's a lot of controversy and claims of benefits and harms, and drawing rock solid conclusions is not possible at this stage. However, would YOU want to self-medicate with estrogen mimicking hormones? The question mark over fertility alone is frankly alarming to me.

The protein content varies from brand to brand. Vitasoy Oat Protein+ claims 4g/100ml vs 4.1g/100ml for Bonsoy. Most other brands get up to 2g/100ml. How much milk substitute are you drinking (especially if you use it for coffee) if that makes or breaks your protein levels? Further, Soy milk tends to contain higher amounts of sugar (vs. unsweetened oat milk), and as low as one-fifth as much calcium (at least when compared to bonsoy) as oat milk.

          Here we go..
          Are you talking about Phytoestrogens?

You'd have to consume a hell of a lot of soy/day to have ANY effect (can't recall but something like 7kg of tofu or 11L+ of milk).

Guess you'd rather consume all the dairy with the same amounts including hormones, antibiotics, puss, blood etc. More likely to get man boobs from beer and chicken.

Will let you research it but provide some more links later. Gets a bit tiring as this crap has been debunked 1000 times.

        • You could search for anything on the internet. That 2006 pubmed article doesn't conclude anything and no references for the source information. I'm not even sure if it's derived from observational studies let alone proper trials.

I agree there still isn't a heap of conclusive information around but the point is the benefits of soy consumption outweigh the possible perceived 'risks', a lot of which is just parroted around the internet and bro-science. In fact it's good for cancer prevention and dietary soy doesn't even translate to blood hormone levels.

No lol, not relying on milk for for my single source of protein (brotein), i have some with coffee once a day (<200mL). I noted before that I like Oat milk also, both are fine. Natural sugar isn't the problem, people are scared of carbs / sugar (energy) these days. An extra 1.3g/100g isn't anything to worry about, was just pointing out that bonsoy contains more fibre and protein.
