I've got this keyboard and I like it. Nice to type on, not too loud. Handy volume knob. LED bling if you're into that. And the current bundle price is cheaper than the keyboard alone.

Good keyboard, lasted me about 3.5 years until the keys started not registering properly, twas a very nice 3.5 years though. But try get this price matched somewhere else, mwave is on my shitlist of worst Computing retailers I've ever dealt with.

    • That's your personal experience. Everyone differs. Mwave is on my good list as they were the only ones I was able to snag a Radeon 6800 on launch and actually not cancel my order.

      • It feels a bit like a roll of the dice for what a company does

    • Agree they are slow to reply and very slow to ship items.

    • lasted me about 3.5 years until the keys started not registering properly

One review talked about the exposed key switches getting hairs in them. Might be worth giving them a clean to see if that fixes the registration issue.

I got this bundle but with different mouse. Great keyboard, I really like it for typing and gaming, and I hope it last more than 3.5 years. I like it better than the Razer Blackwidow V1 and V3 and the DAS X50. Even though sometimes, I miss the Razer feeling!

In relation to MWave, in my last 3 dealing with them 2 have been good \ normal, and one it tool long time to get it processed. They mentioned that they were short on staff. Having said that, once I contacted them the issue was resolved and they even gave me a discount. Being fair, this year, I have experienced delays with many online retailers.

3.5 years seems like a short lifespan for a keyboard doesn't it

Yes - especially one with mechanical switches. I would expect this kind of keyboard to last 10+ years without needing any particularly special treatment.

My $15 HP slim membrane keyboard at the office has been going for 8+ years at this point, and it gets used for many hours every day.

      • I've had terrible experience with mechanical as far as lifespan.

LG G910, key caps would just randomly fall off when typing. Can't recall exactly but perhaps 12 months old. Ended up in the bin.

HP Omen Sequencer, great keyboard but the Numpad 2 stopped working. Optical switches, optic must be on the PCB as swapping switch does not solve it. Collecting dust in my cupboard but would use it again if I could fix it. Use numpad all day for work.

On a Roccat AIMO (brown switch) now and it's great, not a problem for 18 months or so but do miss the red switches though it was a steal at like $120 or something.

None are cheap keyboards. The junk OEM you get for work you could treat like rubbish but never stop.

  • I have never ordered from mwave before, bought this bundle last night, will find out how they do.

BTW: They have network cables starting from $1.98 if anyone wants a cheap item to met the free shipping minimum, and save $1 over the card sleaves in OP's post above.
