It's been quite a while since the Lenovo Xiaoxin Pad Plus (P11 Plus) has been on sale and now it's back and cheaper than last time.

I consider this tablet to be a side-grade to the Lenovo Xiaoxin Pad Pro as there's a few improvements. Namely an upgraded Snapdragon 750G CPU, an Adreno 619 GPU and an 11" IPS panel instead of a pentile OLED panel that should offer more sharp text.

Featuring Android 11 with Google Play, Widevine L1 DRM for Netflix HD, 11" 2000x1200 TDDI IPS Display with 400nits brightness, 6GB RAM, 128GB storage (expandable), Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G CPU with Adreno 619 GPU, 7700mAh battery with QC 3.0, 4 JBL Speakers with Dolby Atmos, 13MP Rear Camera, 8MP Front Camera, WiFi ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, USB-C and pogo pins for keyboard case.

  • Is this the same physical dimensions as the normal P11? I managed to score a P11 keyboard case and folio case in the Lenovo Rewards deal, and just wondering if it might fit this as well?

    • I'm wondering the same thing. Mine arrived today, super impressed with the keyboard and touchpad, as well as the multitasking interface. Love the p11, but a little bit less laggy would be a big plus

      • I don't have either at this stage, but there doesn't seem to be any deals on the P11 atm.

Are you referring to the Lenovo Keyboard Pack for Tab P11?
          https://www.lenovo.com/us/en/p/accessories-and-software/tabl…

For some reason it's not currently coming up on Lenovo Australia page but it did previously, I bought it a few weeks ago. It did say on the Australia site that it's compatible with both P11 and P11 Plus. I have the P11 Plus (more accurately, the XiaoXin Pad Plus in this deal) and can confirm it works with that.

          • @tbone74: Awesome, thanks! Yes that is what I was referring to.

  • You were saying there will better options in august for p11 pro?

    • I said I was hoping there would be.

  • shown as 328 for me , how to get it to 323 ?

AU$ based on current Mastercard rate

Do you have a card without currency conversion fees? If so you set AliExpress to USD, then at PayPal checkout, select the card and click "See currency options" and set the card to bill in USD. Then it'll be at the current Mastercard/VISA rate. If you let AliExpress or PayPal do the AUD conversion then it'll be inflated.

Notice:We suggest you not to restore factory or root with other version,"Do not update or upgrade the system".which may cause date loss or dead of phone, and lose our repair warranty,
is this normal, has anyone had any updates etc?

  • These Lenovo tablets interest me a little bit, are they just other manufacturers that have licenced the Lenovo name or are they actually made by Lenovo/lenovo owned company.

    • Curious too!

    • +2

They're the real deal made by Lenovo themselves. Chinese models are referred as Xiaoxin, international versions as P11 and commercial versions as K11.

  • Thanks @Clear I bought the bundle with screen protector and cover

  • Thanks @Clear I bought the bundle with screen protector and cover for $234.49

  • Hi Clear,
Currently looking to buy a tablet, do you recommend this or the mi pad 5?

    • Also keen to know this. Mi Pad 5 seems to be the better option to me though.

    • This one is over $100 cheaper. 75% the price of the last mi pad 5 deal.

    • Depends really on your use case. Xiaomi Pad 5 has more hope of getting future updates and it has better performance.

  • Will there be another deal on the Pro soon?

    • That's the plan. Getting sellers to go cheap is a problem

  • Where can you get the keyboard or whats the best keyboard accessory for pro 11.5

  • This, Lenovo Pad Plus, or the earlier deal Blackview Tab 10 Pro?
We will be using the tablet for leisure, mainly to watch movies, Disney+, Binge, Netflix.
And maybe for kids to use some educational app.
    Recommendation, please? :) TIA

This. It'll be more powerful, better display and all that.

      • Hi clear would you know if any keyboard deals on pad pro. Thanks

        • They're not cheap. Around $110 AU.

      • Thanks Clear!
Gawd, now I saw your Xiaoxin Pad Pro deal, that add another into the decision matrix.

How is XiaoXin Pad Plus/Pro compared to Lenovo's Duet series? The Duet was what I had my eyes on, which has the global firmware etc. but cost a lot more?

        • +1

Depends on your use. Chromebooks and Android tablets are quite different.

          • @Clear: Sorry for being new at this.
I just saw that the Xiaoxin pad also has a keyboard and a pen. So I thought they might be the same thing as Chromebook.
Is the main difference between the firmware or the entire experience/purpose different?

Xiaoxin can sideload Google play store right?
Sorry to ask so many questions.

            • @CuteChocobo: It already has Google Play. This is basically the same as an Android phone. ChromeOS is more of a desktop environment than a tablet. Have you used it before?

I bought a Xiaoxin pad pro 2021 a while back thinking it would be a nice device. I just wanna give you all an honest advice so that you can make the choices better. I've been following the Netflix/Amazon HD streaming issue for a few months. Lenovo only pushed out a fix for a particular Lenovo model after too much complaints. That model now has Netflix and Amazon HD streaming. This is to do with Google certification for devices supporting HD streaming. Lenovo stuffed it up on their end so their OS updates would make their devices going from L1 to L3. At the moment, there is no fix for xiaoxin tablets as far as i'm aware. The xiaoxin tablets come loaded with dodgy international rom to make it look like its usable for the average. Even if you flash the original chinese rom back and update it to the latest ZUI 13.5.6 version, you wouldn't get L1 (this is based on my experience and some forum posts). Its really bad because the chinese rom by default doesn't get the latest Google Play (you actually have to install Google Play through the chinese App Store in order to have a normal setup) so you don't even see Netflix app available on that Google Play version. Some people might tell you that they got L1 after updating to the latest OS version, I haven't seen any proof that the Xiaoxin tablets getting L1 certification.
In summary, if you wanna buy any xiaoxin tablet for HD streaming then be very careful because you might never get HD streaming through Netflix or Amazon. The Android tablet OS is so lockeddown that you can't even stream Netflix/Amazon through HTML5 browsers for some reasons. The Lenovo tablets would be a better bet because there is actual support from Lenovo even though the level of support is really bad. My xiaoxin pad pro 2021 has very nice specs and OLED screen so I'm not that disappointed but if i knew this upfront, i wouldn't have bought it.
I hope thats helpful for some people!

    • I can now confirm that the Xiaoxin pad pro 2021 would have widevine L1 cert if you install Chinese Rom and then upgrade to the latest ZUI 13.1.560 AND lock the bootloader to get L1 widevine. Its great to watch Netflix & Amazon Prime Video. Good audio and picture quality. There is no other ROM option as of now. Everyone is waiting for Lenovo to release the sourcecode.

  • Looking to get the tab delivered before 20th of August.
Does anyone have experience with their delivery?

Bought a P11 tab from another seller and it was delivered in 11 days..

    • +1

Estimated delivery on the listing says 27th. I don't think you'd get it in time.

  • I can't decide between this with its IPS screen or the Pro with OLED. It'll only be used at night for movies, youtube etc. The Pad Plus may get Android 12 whereas the Pro likely won't being an older release. Other than that there's bugger all in it. What say ye'?

    • This is a cheaper OLED so the darks arent as good. I think the IPS panel in the Plus is still pretty good.

      • cheers, thanks Clear, what's ya Patreon link. ;)
