      If you're looking at spending this kind of money for a drive this beefy, it will be better off with a heatsink regardless.

      If you are asking that question, then honestly, you don't. However, whether you are comfortable doing so is a bigger question.

      It's one thing to run benchmark apps to see those figures and be impressed, it is another to take full advantage of that.

    Cells heat up during writres more than reads …. I have a samsung 970 plus , no heatsink in a PC I use as my daily work PC, no heat problems ….. some mother boards with M2 slots have one of the slots with a heatsink ……
