    Bought this at the last deal, my thoughts on the mouse;
    1. Very light, didn't realise how light it would be
    2. The 70 hour battery actually dies a lot quicker than you realise. End up having to charge it every 4-5 days
    3. (My biggest issue) You can't charge this with a regular microUSB cable. They actually have notches where you insert the cable to the mouse and dock so no matter how thin the cable is it won't slide in.
Which is really a bummer if you want to take the mouse with you and you don't want to bring a 2m long USB cable (or you lose it)

Don't think I would have purchased if I knew this to begin with

Have the same cable issue with my Razer Pro Click, super annoying

      • So it’s a Razer feature, as the Wolverine Ultimate is the same.

      • At home we have 4 different Razer mice, and all of the user different cables! One is older than 3 years, it is Ok. But the other 3 are from the last 2 years. It is silly.

      Charging dock also sucks!

Wish I didn’t bother with the dock. It has extremely poor contacts so it’s very difficult to get the mouse charging “wirelessly.”

It also takes such a long time to charge via the dock, and without being able to swap the batteries out, you’re stuck having to charge with the computer on whilst you don’t use a mouse at all. And it seems like you have to use the dock, as the dock itself is where you can plug in the wireless USB unit for better reception.

      • The micro-USB cable can charge the mouse directly. The dock isn't required; it's possible to buy the mouse on its own with just the USB receiver and cable.

        • I understand that, but given the post comes with the charging dock, people ought to know.

The issues around the charging dock is also well documented at this point, and “cleaning to contacts” don’t fix the issue at all for many people.

      • clean the charging contact on the mouse side every few months with cotton bud (with electrical contact cleaner).
Make sure you turn off the mouse first ;)

I bought Logitech MX Anywhere 3 because of battery reviews.
      https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/aw/d/B08NLQ9CQK

I bought on 2nd July and using daily since then.
      Battery is still 65%

Good productivity mouse, but a completely different animal. Anywhere3 has 125Hz polling which results in its latency being like 7x slower than the Viper. Not great for gaming.

    • They actually have notches where you insert the cable to the mouse and dock

Though not great, it'd be fairly trivial to file/snip off the rails looking at the mouse in front of me right now.

    • If you power off your PC/laptop, you should turn off the mouse too, otherwise it will be hunting for signal all night long

    • I have a Naga Pro, which is supposed to last 100 hrs. As you, I have to charge it every 3 to 4 days. I have the dongle directly in an USB port, so I have the cable free when I need to charge the mouse.

The best mouse! This is for home use not taking with you and a laptop.

Love the mouse and amazing battery/dock

Good for fps gaming since can flick fast due to light weight

I bought one about a year ago and I love it. It’s light and accurate, looks good too. The charging dock puts it above the competition for me. The mouse sits on the dock easily and it’s always charged when I need it - I put it on the dock at the end of each day when I get off the PC, it gets around 10 hours of use a day and barely touches the battery.

I just bought this mouse today.

    Check ozbargain. No deal.

Purchased at $135 X2 one for me one for my bro.

Look at ozbargain on sale 2 hours after purchase and they're now $95. Rip.

surely you can cancel or return and re order

      • Yea! I have received 2 already from same day delivery and spoke with Amazon who told me to buy 2 more at discount and return 2. So i'll get 2 more tomorrow and return those under the original price.

Man, I've used the mx518/g500 mouse for so long. They are awesome mice but wanted a change. I love this so far. However I REALLY do miss the inifite scroll…

But this is awesome for anyone looking to buy!

  • Been very happy with mine. It lives at home and haven't found the dock or real world battery life to be any issue.

ambidextrous mouse which suits my palm grip. i save battery by turning off the rgb effects on the mouse. otherwise, since it comes with a dock, I think its a very good deal for 95 bucks. the connection for the charger on the dock is very fickle and i charge it with the supplied micro usb. also, the dock comes with rgb effects. adds 6.9% FPS as i scroll through PornHub.

  • Bought this one a while ago for about double the price. Dock died within a week, scroll wheel died within 2 months. Got a refund and bought a G-Pro Superlight.

If you want a wireless mouse for general use/casual gaming, then go buy a G502 wireless. Those things are built like a brick. You won't break it anytime soon, but coincidentally, it also feels like you're using a brick to aim.

If you do want something moderately light, then I'd wait for a deal on the G-Pro Superlight. Razer's quality control has always been somewhat lax, but I'm definitely gonna avoid them from now on.

    • then I'd wait for a deal on the G-Pro Superlight

G-Pro $136.91 on Amazon at the moment, is it the main difference superlight?

      • If you are into competitive FPS gaming wait for the Superlight, if you are a casual gamer the G-Pro will be more than fine.
