May i know how often you charge the mouse?
Every five, seven ish days in my case (WFH and my own use after hours), I had my mouse > 12 months. I had the razer light up logo switched off.
If you adjust the RGB settings on the mouse to the lowest settings it will last many days (for me anyway) of constant use. They are great as Rodo above said, for both gaming and general applications.
It last a good week on daily uses. The dock is true makes this product shine
I've been amazed with the battery life!
Have only just had to charge it for the first time yesterday (battery indicator said battery level was getting low) and I've had it for a month now. I work from home most days but do put it on the dock every so often for a short time when I leave the desk (5 to 10 minutes a day). And at the end of the day I put it back on the dock but power is switched off so no charging at that time.
Why is ambidextrous a requirement? Do you swap hands you use the mouse?
the shape on some mice means its not suitable for left handed people, and ambidex mouse solves that without the company having to design two different versions of the same mouse.

Ambidextrous is a requirement because I like to switch hands and it is actually better for your dexterity, strength, rsi etc. to be able to switch hands every so often to give your hand a rest. I am a lefty and there are very few good quality mice that lefty's can use. Most lefty's I know of actually use a mouse in their right hand. And on top of that, a couple of years ago I injured my left arm, which made it difficult to use any mouse in my left hand without pain. The pain's only just gone away and I now have that freedom to use a mouse in whatever hand I want to.

I mean if cable isn't a problem when gaming or doing normal stuff then no need to buy. However, i used to use the razer da v2 and I hated the cable. Upgrading to Viper Ultimate been pretty good. V2 switchs on the viper ultimate very nice feeling and less travel space. Only problem is that whenever i use scroll wheel, it makes a weird sound (prob just me tbh).

I mean tbh the mouse itself is great, although the dock sucks. Cant be bothered to refund as too much hassle. I had a massively great time with it playing Warzone and other games so i'd say i still got my money's worth.

How does this compare to the logitech G502 mouse posted yesterday? Wondering if I should return that and go for this. Just want a good mouse for a WFH setup. The wireless aspect of the viper is really appealing.
I am currently using 502 wired, apart from the wire. I can't complain anything. but like you said wireless is important.
If its just for WFM, the design for Logitech more ergonomic to a extend but I prefer lighter mouse in general (im a gamer as well lol). But the wireless aspect very appealing since cable can become annoying at times and sometimes ruin desk aesthetics. Heard people said the Logitech switches tend to double click after some time. I personally use a few generations of razer mouse including this and no double click. You might have to adapt to the mouse design since its flat but way better than a brick. Oh forgot to mention but for me, the scrollwheel on the razer aint the best and logitech far superior cause infinite scroll and more smoother. The scroll wheel up on razer ultimate has some weird noise which because of design (plenty of reddit user reported experiences).

Prob be a downgrade since mx3 has pretty good ergonomic. Personally that mouse too chucky and heavy for my small hands so i prefer viper ultimate. But if mx3 suits you at the moment, no need to buy.

MX is an office mouse. This is a gaming mouse.
MX will be much better for office work and more ergonomics, but this is much lighter, have far better sensor and response times, and razer optical switch wont develop double click issues.

Pink is available on Bing lee eBay as well at a cheaper price(with codes). However, I got confirmation from Bing lee, the black one does not come with the dock. Maybe they just don't know their product as much as some ozbargainers here. If anyone want to buy the pink from binglee eBay, better check with them first.

There two here that I read having issues one with the dock another reporting double mouse clicks , a mouse is something you would hope would last a couple of years at least people reporting issues after 6 months. Not saying it's not a great mouse when it works but you would hope it lasts a while.
Well, there is always people having issue with their product, could be QC issue. I would look positive, the majority having no issue and very positive feedback. I will try it. If I listened to those having double click issue with Logitech g502, then I may missed this great mouse I am currently using. Over 1 year now, not a single fail. That's me, but I fully understand your concern.

this is why i always buy from amazon if price is about the same. ebay sellers are often like this even big ones like binglee.
if amazon is oos you wont be able to buy it, even if by some reason they were oos as you bought one they will postphone shipment until they receive stock, or if you dont want to wait you can get like a 10 20 dollar compensation in addition to the refunds if you talk to a rep
