    Is this good value ?

    • +4

      Yes

    • +1

No real upgrade path without replacing that mobo though.

      • +4

What sub $1k pre-built IS going to have much of an upgrade path though?

        • +1

          Yeah, fair point.

Just wanted to make sure OP knew.

      • +4

Given that Intel changes their socket type every two gens or so, I think overall it's just hard to upgrade an Intel build without replacing the mobo…

  • +5

It's an OK deal, you'd be spending about a hundred extra dollars if you bought the thing yourself, here in the parts list https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/DHJTZw
The cheapest 6600 was seen for $300 so you can imagine taking another $69 off this parts list and you get pretty close to costing the same if you built it yourself. Not to mention that for this level of budget you are overspending on the case and power supply, when you can be getting something cheaper like a M-ATX case to suit the motherboard, and something like one of those MSI 80+ Bronze 550w PSU with five year warranties if you are really on a tight budget. Like I said it's an ok deal.

EDIT: There also is a discrepancy in the listing, the ram isn't RGB, it's 3200mhz Cl22 non-heatsink ddr4

    • That's true. The RGB RAM is an add on. Oopsy daisy bpc

  • Can anyone summarise the differences between B460 and B560 functionality?

    • Pcie gen 4 instead of 3. 560 mobo would have been a better deal

      • +2

It's an 11th gen CPU with a b460 Rev 2.0 that supports gen4, so this b460 in particular is actually a better budget option in this configuration

      • I guess even if it was gen 3 only, not going to make a difference for this GPU or m.2 drive for gaming

    • +1

largely irrelevant especially on this type of system

  • Which N card does it equal to?

    • It competes close to the RTX 3060 I believe

  • Any chance you would allow for upgrades to the CPU (12600F) and the MoBo (B660)? Would make for great longevity.
Otherwise it's still quite a good deal!

    • Agreed, just upgrading to 12600f or 12400f would benefit this build for gaming

    • +1

There is an upgrade option for a 12400F + B660M Motherboard for an extra $119 on the link.

      • +1

Well, that was quick, thanks guys!

      Hi Blade Knight,

      We just added the 12400F + B660M Options :)

      Cheers,

FYI You have a PSU upgrade option, but your webpage doesn't say what the default PSU is.

You should also put a bit more effort into your descriptions of the RAM upgrade options.

          Hi Shacktool,

Its EVGA 600 GQ 600W 80+ Gold Semi-Modular Power Supply, we listed that under the specification bar :)

Let me talk to the PM regarding the ram option and see how we improve.

          Cheers,
          BPC Team

          • @BPC Technology: The specs are probably obvious on desktop, I missed them on the mobile page.

If it was my website, I would find a way to include pictures of the RGB RAM on offer, ideally in action.

I would describe "double the RAM" as "double the RAM to 32gb". You want to be encouraging people to buy at every stage. "32gb" catches attention, and it describes what you are selling.
"Double" means I have to refer to another part of the page, and I also need to already be convinced that there isn't enough RAM in your deal.

A guy don't walk on the lot lest he wants to buy

        Hi guys,
what mobo is the B660M one listed in the upgrade option? does it include wifi? Thanks

      • Legends, thanks team!

  • Swap RX 6600 with a RTX3060 and call it a day :D

  • -2

    Tax time is over.

    • ok and?

    • Until next year.

  • There is also another pc on BPC Tech for 999 and it comes with an i5 12400f.

  • +2

will bite the bullet if there is one with AMD 5600 + RX 6600XT at $1k mark

  • Any chance of some ~4TB CMR drive deals?
