      Touch is overrated. In 4 years I have never used touch on my XPS15.

        I find it useful for scrolling or zooming in when I am not using a mouse.

          Track pad is much the same concept, two finger slide to scroll, pinch to zoom

          Same gestures and more usually work on the mouse touchpad. 2 finger scroll, 3 finger swap apps, pinch to zoom in or out, 4 finger swap desktops, 2 finger tap right click.

        Touch is more useful when the screen can lie flat, and here it can. The touch model has the i7 processor its cooling system is designed for; I'd rate it better value, and bought one.

      Thinkpad E15 currently $999 at Lenovo Education. with only half RAM and SSD. Both upgradable, though. And with AMD 6-core 5625U.

      I'm trying to find if any 14"-15" screen size laptop, can't find any worth recommendation. But, I found a 16" Lenovo IdeaPad 5 Slim at $997, which IMO, a good deal.

    Ordered one of these the day it was posted.

    Currently having a terrible time with their delivery service.
    Keep getting messages/calls saying it will be delivered today etc (for last 2 days), but delivery person never showed up.

    Throwing my day-to-day schedule out of whack waiting for a 'no show'.
    Wish I just did a click & collect instead.

    Better processor and a touch screen, it think that's about it (plus the bundled stuff). But wondering, is the brightness (no-touch) and battery going to be better on the i5 version in this deal?

    Anything else I'm missing?
