Very impressive spec, i just hate how these 15" laptops have a cramped numpad on the side - would much prefer just an ordinary keyboard placed in the middle of the chassis!

    • +1

That's what Dell Inspiron 16 Plus is doing, from 7610 to 7620.

      • Hell yeah!

        • +1

why they mess up the arrow keys.. up and down arrow keys so small.. totally nonsensical.. and the trend keeps getting more prevalent

          • +2

@vikaskamboj: Cant understand this trend also. Not like there's no room for full size up and down arrows.

    • +1

It's for people like my dad. My dad will never buy a laptop without a numpad, and doesn't understand laptops such as the MacBook 16" with a keyboard in the middle (like you described).

Me on the other hand… I agree with you

      • +5

I can' t understand work laptops of this size without one.

Just gimps your typing speed and ability to do repeated data entry. In my view you can't have a serious work laptop without one.

I understand the pros and cons, personally have a multi media laptop without one.

        • +1

Depends what constitutes 'work'. Everyone has different needs, whether you're an excel nerd or a chad minecraft youtuber (ahhaha), you may or may not need a numpad.

    • Work with Word tables & to select full table I only know of Alt Num-5 keypad.
Nothing wrong with crammed Numpad. Better than missing functionality like Apple.

      • +1

Exactly always better to have functionality when looking practicality.

  • Shame its in store and pick up only.

    • I checked with Office Works and Bunnings it works … But with Chemistwarehouse it doesn't ..

Do you know the list of sites it supports?

      • +1

Not sure how accurate this thing is though. Since I bought one from Liverpool but it still says 2 in stocks.

        • +2

Results are cached so it's not hitting the retailer's website for every person checking. You can see the time at the bottom, any changes since then won't be shown.

Very limited numbers not really a deal?

  • +1

    Wow. Basically no stock anywhere

    60 hz…

    • +3

      It's not a gaming laptop.
I'd take 60Hz with an IPS, 100% sRGB, 1600p screen any day over a 120Hz, TN, 65% sRGB, 1080p panel.

    • Disappointed you didn't also point out no RGB and red stripes

  • Damn sold out nsw

  • pretty much no stock most of qld

  • Thanks op. Wasn't planning on buying a laptop today. But here we are.

Dang son. Someone post a good deal on a yacht while this baller has his card out

      • Have not bought the Tommy hilfiger jacket yet. Otherwise I be looking for a deal on a yacht.

    • what does here we are mean?

      • Collective term for ozb community. Here we are meaning I bought one.

  • can you somehow trade it in later?

    • -1

      It's no bitcoin. 😆

  • Shame that they don't do paid shipping. Otherwise a lot of the clearance sale items could be sold faster.

  • 16" 2K IPS with full keyboard. Not bad.

  • I have the Ryzen 9 version of this with the RTX3050 and 120Hz display, love it! One of the best laptops I've purchased recently. About the only gripe is the crap webcam, and I wish they'd do a keyboard option WITH OUT a number pad!

  • Was there anything in VIC?

I'm looking for exactly this kind of laptop for a family member

Has to have at least a 100% sRGB 15"+ screen which rules out a lot of the entry level models

    • Not as cracker deal as this one, it's rated 100% sRGB and 15.6" FHD screen.

      Intel NUC M15

      • Thanks I may just be being greedy but I was hoping for a 6 core or more for future proofing just so it could last a couple more years for a second family member like my quad core 2 series intel XPS on its last legs that my 8 year old still can play roblox on surprisingly

4 core I don’t think would last very long without some performance issues but maybe 11th gen would be enough

The 12th gen with E cores looks good and like it will last some years otherwise a Ryzen would be good too

I guess I’m looking for unicorns that you seem to post hahaha

      • To give you more info I almost pulled the trigger on a 16” 2 in 1 7620 inspiron for $1299 12th gen but i’m still looking for outlet deals to get closer to $1000 lol

  • How does the Ryzen 5 processor compare to i5-1135G7?

  • Nabbed one from Hermit Park store, should be a great upgrade for the parents.

    • +1

So the cops not after you?

    • Any left? Going up that way in a few weeks time, but not sure if I could pay for it over the phone (old school way haha),

then pick it up later? I'm pretty sure I prefer the Intel NUC M15 with it's non numerical keyboard and brighter screen

      over this anyway.

  • Anyone know where to price match elsewhere

  • I need a business laptop, so what you guys reckon Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5 Pro or Intel NUC M15 or something else?

    • Those aren’t bad options

Other could be Lenovo E15 AMD on sale at the moment which looks like a proper business laptop but if you upgrade the screen to 100% srgb maybe upgrade RAM or SSD it comes to around $1200 but may take some time to ship
