  • Any discount on Oxx digital radios?

    • Not at this stage

Wow, I bought these for $280 a couple of years back. Good deal for excellent pair of earphones

    • damn thats a lot of money for something so small… why so expensive? should only cost a few bux to make at max? ( i know there is a fair bit of R&D… but stilll, something at this price on ozbargains and people are happy with it…. guess that goes to show the quality)

      • Well it's kind of like the Mercedes / BMW of the headphones world. You get more "bang per buck" with other items/brands but some people have other criteria (e.g. they really like the sound, they want a status symbol, etc.).

And then there are the Ferarris, which cost up to $2000.

This is more than the Bose

    • +2

Bose shouldnt be your reference point.

    • MUCH BETTER THAN BOSE~

      • Very subjective comparison from a Sennheiser fanboi.

  • I think its sennheiser themselves. They just put a high premium to their distributors compared to other companies. They seem to be always above other high priced iems.

Although they have a generous 2 yr warranty which is what your paying for imo.

IE8 had good sound, but utter crap isolation

    Dunno bout the IE7 though..

$200 may be better spent on the TF10's when they're on special..

    • If you're after isolation you can get aftermarket tips like Complys

    They look stupid though..

the RRP in the US is $300. When they do sale there it's about $140. We are getting ripped off again here even on such a small thing.

Ok price for these IEMs if you are really after them, though I suspect you could probably get them cheaper shipped from o/s.

Certainly they put anything Bose makes to shame, but i'd tend toward the TF10s or the Fischer DBA-02 MKIIs in the 150-200 price range (you can always pick TF10s up for that price from somewhere).

His review of IE7 is in progress, but he has already compared many other earphones with IE7. It's good to know there are cheaper comparable products out there, unless brand name is all you're after (or 2 yr Australia warranty).

  • Minidisc offers one of the best after sales service I've experienced. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to my friends.
