  Hi Paintmate, is there a way to colour match an old formula of Woodland Grey I have?
  Apparently Taubmans have re-formulated it and the card I have now does not match the current version they are running with. (Bunnings pulled the cards after I and them noticed the sample pot did not match in the slightest to the card)

  Would prefer to get something close than repaint majority of existing sections. Cheers

    Hi,

    Do you have a pic of the old formula sticker?

    To be honest, even if you had the same paint, paint does fade slightly over time (depending on when you painted it) So it regularly looks slightly different.

      Yeah understood, just it is fairly different. Excuse was Taubmans wanted to compete more with Dulux Woodland Grey.
      The current paint was a tinge more on the green side, whereas now is more of a blue.

  Is this ok for priming gyprock on ceilings beforea couple of coats of standard ceiling white?

  Or is it more suited to untreated timber, doors etc?

    Just get a ceiling paint.
    This is more of a sealing paint.

      You should always undercoat plasterboard before applying topcoats. Seen many a ceiling peel due to non adhesion

      Further to that, if I want to paint my current house walls which are benaud cream, do I need undercoat or just a new colour over the top?

  1) Can I add a Paint Additive to prevent against mould in this undercoat? ( e.g. Protite Mould Defender Paint Additive).

  or should i add it at paint stage?

  2) Do Paint additives (like Protite) actually work against mold or just a gimmick?

  3) Will this cover oil based paints?

    Hi mate, I’ve replied to him privately a couple of times.

    Yes the tint was added and must have missed going through the shaker. No big deal at all, just stir it and ready to go! No problems at all.

    Happens from time to time.
