  • Any good for you tube and plex

    • -1

No. It would be useless for these 2 applications.

    • The other guy got downvoted. But I had a amazon fire tv once and it was locked down pretty tight. Youtube and plex are in the fire tv store though. At the time I was fiddling with it, there was no way to side load apps to it. I just googled sideloading on firetv and a few articles suggest you can easily do it now with "Downloader" app or some other method.

        He's talking about postage costs

  • How's this compared to the tcl/ffalcon for $1k

I was looking at the for an upgrade to our lounge tv

    • about a 336 or a third cheaper….

(Though to be serious I was at jb/TGG today, the falcon looked very washed out, would rate the the Toshiba far better.)

  • Got them to price match in store.

I went to buy the 43" version based on online reviews and when I compared it, I was really dissapointed with the picture. Ended up spending more but much happier with an LG 43UQ9000PSD.

    • Did you change the contrast and backlight to match? Most of these TVs have exactly the same panel. So should be able to appear identical.

Its just the upscaling, motion blur, refresh rates etc that differ.

Appearance wise, the cheapest Linsar can be made to look as good as the most expensive equivalent LED.

      • Couldn't even get a remote for the Toshiba from the Good Guys Sales Rep… Went for the LG elsewhere..

  • $644 delivered to SA, not too bad for 65

    • Would you please share how to get additional discount?

      • oh it's ebay Plus $60 off +55 delivery

        • Thanks

Went in store and the TGG sales rep dropped it to $610 + $55 Delivery for me.

    • Could I ask which store did you get it from?

      • Essendon

        • Thanks.

        • Damn I went there, guy wasn't willing to throw in shipping when I got it. I had to go pick it up myself. They did price match it though.
