This it the cheapest ever for this AMAZING Knipex tool.

Just add a few AA batteries (or something else) to the order to get to $50.00 ($55 with GST) for free delivery.

It's a fantastic tool and something I wish I had had years ago! Here is a good review.

Note also that the cheaper version of this tool, with the standard grip, is also available at Element14 for $39.37 + Delivery but as there were only 2 left at this price it will likely be sold soon.

Personally I prefer the Comfort Grip any day.

Element14, which is the old Farnell Australia as far as I understand, were very good with their shipping. They used TOLL Overnight Shipping from their NSW warehouse, and only took a few days to process the order.

Good luck, and enjoy!

Enjoy!

This is part of Father's Day deals for 2022.

    • yet they say on their website next month. I questioned this and they said they would update their website but they just changed the date from Oct to Nov

      pretty dishonest company it seems

    • element14 needs to refer to the Australian Consumer Law (or be referred to the ACCC).
      https://www.accc.gov.au/consumers/problems-with-products-and…

      • It is illegal for a business to accept payment for products or services they do not intend to supply.

Except that like Amazon, they don't charge until the product ships. So it's not like they took payment and run. If people are not happy to wait, many users have mentioned being able to cancel orders without dramas.

        • "Failure to supply a product or service
When a business accepts your payment for products or services they must supply them to you within the timeframe they have indicated or if no time was specified, within a reasonable time."
Nicely picked up, the ACL does refer to payment. However, I wonder whether it would be considered acceptable (and ethical) business practice to represent and accept orders on the basis that items would be delivered within specified time frames and then extend that out to six months (which seems pretty unreasonable and likely intended to prompt customers to cancel orders).

  • I ordered a screwdriver with the order to get free postage…they just charged me now and sent just the screwdriver. Hmm. It's unclear if they charged for the cost of the screwdriver or additional postage…

  • +1

I ordered the pliers and a few cable lugs to make up the total. Got the lugs weeks ago but still no pliers. Just sent a email with a request to cancel.

    • This is the confirmation for cancellation. Due the end of March. Why try to sell something you won't have for six months.

"The Pliers have been cancelled from your order.

They were on a back order with the supplier with a lead time of End of March 2023, hence this was never shipped to you.

      Apologies for the inconvenience"

      • problem is they kept selling them while having far shorter dates advertised on their website. I notified them and they said they would correct it but never did.

So effectively they were advertising them as having a few weeks wait but then when ordered they would say no stock for 5 months, knowing all along this was inaccurate

  • Thought I'd post this in case people have the same thing happen:

Weird one but I just got a call from elementary saying they have stock of the pliers that I ordered in August 😅

At first my red flag detector went up because she said they need the card details, but she seemed to have all the order info for it all to sound legit and I used a burner card anyway to make the payment. Which went through.

So it looks like I'll finally be receiving the knipex pliers

    • Yeah, weird company. Finally got mine, but won't be using this company again. Not worth the effort for consumers.
