Is it worth it using Scoot for a long haul flight? Anyone have experience?

I've heard only bad things so I'm curious if anyone had a good flight

I mean it's budget so you'll be sitting real close to the next seat in front of you

Also a story I heard from a mate is that the plane suddenly dropped and they apologised for the turbulence. However the drop was so much that trays went everywhere…

Turbulence doesn't discriminate - you don't encounter stronger turbulence on a low-cost carrier.

    • Flew Scoot to Europe 2 months ago - safe to say its exactly what you expect from a budget airline. Seats are narrower than your standard Qantas/Singapore airline plane and literally everything else you pay is a add on - however saved a lot of $$$ in which I could spend over there!

      • +1

Actually the seats in Scoot's 787s are wider than Qantas' & Jetstar's seats in their 787s - Scoot is 18" Wide, Qantas is 17.2" wide, Jetstar 17" wide.

    • I flew with them last month. You need to pay for everything. No entertainment on flight.
Try to get the extra legroom seat and you are all good.

      • How much is extra legroom?

        • i think it was $79.

Is what it is. I just listen to music or play my switch. Don’t expect luxury when you’re flying this cheap. Worth it just for the stopover in Singapore, absolutely amazing airport.
