KSM160 for $513.77 is surely the pick
Depends if you need the 2.8L bowl, and unfortunately it wasn’t in the recipient’s preferred colour, devastatingly for me.
Ksm160 also has adjustable speed

Can someone explain why Kitchenaid power is so much lower compared to other brands such as Kenwood where they go 1000 w plus?
Different motor probably. According to Choice: "The wattage of mixers can range from 300W to 1500W. But in our testing, we've found that wattage doesn't have a significant effect on performance."
I personally would prefer the lower wattage so that I don't have to dedicate an outlet to it.
Indirect vs direct motors. Kenwood use indirect motors which need more power to do the same thing.
Note, it appears that the KSM150 is superseded by the KSM192?
Definitely not the cheapest its been (i believe its around the $399 mark) but i doubt we'll see it going as low again. This is still a good deal if u need a Kitchen Aid
