  • Is this any good for typing emails and word docs?

    • -1

No sorry, you can't use keyboards to type emails or word docs since the latest patch.

      • Sorry, but new to mechanical keyboards and not wanting for gaming, only for typing. Does Blue, Brown or Red Switch provide the best typing feel?

        • In my opinion, brown. I've used blues for many many years and hated how loud and clicky they were since the day I bought them but they were on sale which is why I've never replaced it. Just recently picked up brown switches and it still provides a nice tactile feel to it without the loud clicky-ness. Some prefer red for the "light" feel.

        • It's all down to personal preference, really, you can easily game or type on any type of switch. I do both just fine on my linears and tactiles.

        • Sorry, I assumed you were joking.

I wouldn't say there are many restrictions or requirements that limit your choice of keyboard for typing emails and word docs.

With that said, generally, most people new to mech keyboards go for either blues or Browns. I had blue switches (not cherry or gateron, maybe outemu) as my first and I found I got sick of the clickyness pretty fast. Blues do feel slightly more satisfying to type on due to the extra 'click' they have, but are louder than browns, which still have a tactile 'bump' on the way down. Tactile switches like blues and browns are typically preferred for typing, however of course it is just personal preference in the end. I would recommend browns as your first (I've seen some kb 'purists' scoff at browns but who cares).

  • They have increased the price from 110 to 130 :(

Be careful getting into keyboards.. turned out to be an expensive hobby

  • It seems the price has silently gone up to $130 before discount.

    Pink one is still $110

  • +1

Bought a pink version for 38.50, not sure why.

    Got mine today.

It's pretty crap. Lots of key wobble - and feels really cheap. Kinda wasted $38.50

Good on you for following up. I think feedback is important and should be a part of visiting this website.

Now I have a better idea of what to expect next time I see a deal like this.

    • Thanks for your feedback

  • Anyone else pick up a wireless one and having trouble with it holding a charge or powering back on after it goes to sleep? Seems to be an issue with these based on a quick Google search.
