its not 5th Gen iPad Air so its old stock.

  • Coupon code does not work for ipad.

    • Got to change the payment method to afterpay first

      • still not working

  • iPad is OOS

    • More than 10 available.

  • Not working. Is it for new customer only?

    • +1

Code works for me. I've never used Afterpay before though. Have you used the code today elsewhere? There's 2 redemptions.

  • Thanks, the only option for 64GB was silver so I grabbed that.
Replacing an original iPad Air from this deal.

  • +1

Code is valid for me as of posting, looks like a pretty good deal for those wanting one!

    Good find OP.

  • Is M1 processor and double the memory worth the considerable price bump for the 5th gen?

    • +1

      Stage manager
      So maybe

      • +3

Stage manager is very crappy, the only thing good about it is external monitor support imo

    • And 5G

      • +1

        5G even bigger price bump

    • is it worth the extra $340? Nah, at the end of the day it's still an iPad.

  • so for a 5 yrs old kid, this one vs the new ipad mini? thoughts?

    • +9

Both would be overkill for a child. Get an iPad9 with discounted Apple Gift Cards and/or bonus cashback offer.

    • My vote for the mini.Mini is better size wise to put in the bag, comfortable to hold and it’s the latest (air is already 2 years old). Thanks

  • Thanks. Great price.

  • Any reviews on the NUC and the pricing? I read through the older posts and not much said about this particular model at similar price point

It's excellent, especially at this price

It's good. Most solidly built windows laptop I have had my hands on.

I watched this review. He covers it pretty well. The only issues he didn't pick up on that I experienced was the slow response time of the screen and the high pitch that the fans make when the CPU is under load.

The high pitch fan could just be the unit I had. The response is only really noticeable for me when quickly moving white text on a black background. The light text "smears" on the screen.

      • +1

I can confirm that my unit stays silent for most of the times and under CPU load there is no high pitch fan noise.

I bought this laptop for $1150 and really like it for it’s solid build quality, beautiful logo-less design, beautiful touch screen, incredibly fast performance for day to day tasks and decent lite-gaming performance (for ex: 60fps Minecraft with graphics turned up). It’s lightweight and has long battery life. The built-in sensors are nice too.

      • Thanks a lot for review from personal experience
        What’s your battery life like?

    • +2

I bought one and don't love it. It's fine, but I can't quite put my finger on why I'm not impressed.
Maybe it's the graphics card -Intel Iris Xe graphics.
But more likely it's the unnecessarily wide keyboard with no number pad. Mine's also blue screened twice. I had to search out a driver pack from Lenovo to get a dock to work and it's super hit and miss. Have to boot it with the hub plugged in now.
Over all it's fine for the price, but I don't love it.
Fan noise is near non existent, generally, and battery life is decent.

Dam got the gen 9 ipad $399 for my toddler. Should have waited for the ipad air.

    • +2

Why does a toddler need an iPad?

      • Cheap Babysitter.

    • +4

Just drop them straight into the metaverse

  • Is a new M15 NUC due to retail soon? It’s already on the Intel website.

    • +2

I'm still keeping an eye out .. this is tempting me, but … I'd rather the newer 1260P.

      • I’m in the same boat. 35% better performance.

        • Was about to pull the trigger on this one, but reading the 1260p benchmark tests changed my mind. When do you reckon we'll see that model in this price range?

          • @[Deactivated]: When 1369P comes out.

          • @[Deactivated]: These 1165s have only recently been dropping. I think this is an all time low price. The retail pricing for the 1260p is only $1330 anyway. It’s not much more, and on sale it seems east to justify waiting for the extra performance / features of the 1260p.

            • +1

@Broos: Thanks! Pulled the trigger on the i5 at $850. It should do for my use case. I guess it was just me wanting the shiniest new thing

    • It’s not touch screen.

    • damn, I just bought this model at mwave for $969 :(

  • Thanks for posting, got one. Any decent and decent looking IPad Air cover suggestions without breaking the bank!

  • Thanks for posting, got one!
