I've had a couple of the lenovo yoga android tablets. Solid devices but I find there is a lack of software updates. Might be different for this one but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Absolutely. They also tend to run much older versions of android. I bought one to play that dumb autochess ripoff with a friend and it couldn't even run natively because it was running a version of Android so old. Bought it brand new from OW.

      • I couldn't even change the lock screen wallpaper on the old one (yoga 10+).

Battery wasn't as good on the yoga tab 3 plus so I put a custom rom on it (hard to tell if it's improved). Updates have died down a bit on that but I moved to the Samsung A8. So far, so good.

        • I have recently bought P11 pro and battery is so poor I'm considering returning it off.

I always said I would never buy Lenovo but I did. Wouldn't do it again

Don't bother any tablet from this brand. Bought P11 Pro (TB-J706F) with genuine keyboard 2 year ago. After updating, device crashed constantly, turn out that firmware cause confliction bw device and keyboard. Looking for help on their forum, there was line of people on the same boat already without getting any response. It'd been like that for roughly 2 months, I tried to save myself, I made it, but lost my serial number (aka DRM L1) forever.
Just want to share a story.

Ugh, Lenovo's tablet division makes me sad… these Yoga series tablets are great little media tablets with the integrated kickstand, good speakers and big battery. But I have never received a major Android version update on any Lenovo product.

The Tab 13 at least has HDMI-in so it can still be useful long after its software is inevitably abandoned. But they still don't sell that one in Australia!

That HDMI-in feature would be so good to have.

I partly blame Google/Alphabet for forgetting about tablets cos Lenovo could just put a light version of their OS over the top.
