Myer: Outdoor Kids Swing Sets for $35 Each (Two Styles). Was $249, Then $135, Now $35

380

Just saw this on a pamphlet at the kids counter at myer chatswood. It must be part of the stocktake sale.

Two different styles of kids outdoor swing sets (sorry can't upload photos on the go but will do when I get home). Think hills green-tubular-steel style sets: one had four swings plus a see-saw, the other had three swings plus a slide. Both were $35, down from the 'clearance price' of $135 and then I saw the original price were $249.

A friend did some further investigation "Hey just spoke to Myer Eastgardens & they have them there too. Sale goes til July sometime or until sold out. The guy said they have 30 of each in the warehouse." FYI myer chatswood didn't have any in stock but they were getting another shipment of them on Monday.

EDIT: pics of the two sets (from the pamphlet) are —>

And here is a photo of the original price I saw on Myer's wall —> http://i50.tinypic.com/205wq38.jpg

For those commenting on postage, I'm not sure what's going on in Qld but I had two Myer stores in Sydney confirm that although the stock is in the NSW warehouse, the Myer staff can have it brought to any store (this is what we did) and then we pick up from the store for free. The dimensions of each flat-pack box are in the 'original price' photo above - two boxes which are 2.2m long each. These boxes should fit in most cars where rear seats fold down (if you fold down the front passenger seat too).

  • may need "kids" swing in the title.. LOL.. I thought it's furniture for adult.. :-)

  • can't find them online ?

  • Yea, wish there was a pic or something D:

    • Read my post - I'm out at the moment and can't upload pics. I have some and will put them up in a few hours when I get home

  • Great deal for me if I can get one.

  • A lot of stores (especially mine in belconnen, ACT) don't stock them and as such have to order them and come with a hefty $75 delivery fee!! So not that much of a bargain unless a store stocks them.. Good find though O.P

  • Was just about to race to my local (Castle Hill) when I saw the delivery fee… but just in case anyone is interested Castle Hill has said they are not in stock at the store but they have them in the warehouse…

You can order from the store and collect to avoid delivery charges… According to Action website box sizes are not too bad (hopefully)
Great Deal all I have to do now is wait for our baby to learn how to walk…. :)

    • Nope, there's no way around the delivery fee if they don't normally stock them. Unless the person serving you is incredibly nice and can somehow order it to the store for you

  • Does anyone know if these can be loaded in the car ourselves?

    • Cant see why not, just some swings.

      • I disagree with this answer. The frame/legs of the swing set I have would definitely not fit in even a large sedan. A wagon, maybe…

    • Go to www.actionsports.com.au. It lists the various dimensions and weights for each of the kits…

      • Thanks guys. nmehta has kindly provided some visual idea as well below. And OP too.

  • None at Chermside or Brookside, or in the warehouse for QLD. If anyone finds any in Brisbane let me know.

  • My friend bought 6" trampolines for only $24.75 plus delivery. They don't have any of these or the swing sets in store but they can be ordered and delivered from the warehouse.

Seems like itzwazza is right - I just called one of the Myer stores in Melbourne who confirmed that this product is only available from their warehouse but needs to be ordered from a store. Cost for product is $35 but delivery cost quoted was $55 for MyerOne member or $10 more for non members.

apate - did you get the product delivered or managed to pick-up? Anyone knows if any Myer in Melbourne has pick-up option?

I just updated my post (with photos too). I managed to pick-up from Chatswood in Sydney. As commented above, there was no stock in the Chatswood store but the staff member said the store was getting another 20 delivered on Monday so she would add one more to the order (so 21 are being delivered to the store). On Monday they are calling me to let me know it has arrived and I will go pick up when it's convenient for me. For free.

Hopefully this helps others out there who can ask for the same?

Also, based on the dimensions provided by the lady on the phone, sounds like ….
    a) Four swings plus a see-saw looks like http://www.actionsports.com.au/index.php?page=shop.product_d…
    b) Three swings plus a slide would be http://www.actionsports.com.au/index.php?page=shop.product_d…

    • yep - looks like them. Thanks nmehta for going to the effort to post that

  • I just called Chatswood, they said you have to pay $55 for delivery.. and then a woman in the background said that there are none in the warehouse (I think they might have been oz-bargained, and they were quite annoyed). So the guy just told me that there are none. So, pretty much can't order one and have it delivered to the store and then pick it up free. I mean the pamphlet even says "delivery charges apply". Just to note I called Macquarie Myer right before Chatswood and they told me the same thing on paying $55 delivery, and then I asked about stock levels.. she said in the warehouse they had 46 x 4 swing and 49 x 3 swing. But then 2 mins later Chatswood say they have none…??

Spoke with Myer Highpoint and they are going to get 2 of these swing sets (one for myself n one for my mate) delivered to their store for us to pick'em up. I guess I got the right person to speak to.

Paid with the Myer gift cards that I get as I use Myer Visa Card a lot. So practically for free. Awesome deal!!

Only 10 of Blue n 21 of Green left in Melbourne. I've posted the links to actual sets in my last post.

  • I have been to the south land myer in Melbourne, but they ask me to pay 55 for the delivery. They told me I can't pick up in the store.so I want to ask which myer you have been there and can pick up in the store thanks

Buy 2 get 1 free at Myers today… does that mean you can get 3 sets for $23.33 each?

    • Does it apply to discounted or on special items or just full price items?

  • Can't find any in Sydney. :(

    • yeah, me too. NSW all gone I was told.

  • Sold Out in Sydney :(

I was at Chatswood this morning and the lady said that 4 orders from yesterday couldn't be fulfilled as well

  • I'm in Adelaide just rang and person said only 7 left in Vic warehouse and they can't order them for me. He also said one or two in stores in NSW.

    • I ordered 1 last night at Myer TTP. I think what they meant was you cant order over the phone as you have to pay for the order in full straight away. Well thats what they did for me…

  • Rang Adelaide and they said they sold out last night :(

  • thanks OP, ordered one of each today at myer, werribee plaza, around 9 a.m. there were 7 of 1 type and 14 of another in Altona warehouse.

  • Where is the myer warehouse located in NSW/Sydney?

  • I picked one of these up at Big W at Macquarie Center, it was the only one there but if people missed out at Myer, maybe try Big W. I would suggest it would need to be in store as they probably share a warehouse (I have no idea if they actually do though). Price was even cheaper being $30.01 for the 4 swinging thing one and no I have no idea why they didnt make it $30 rather than $30.01

    • can you please post the receipt

      cheers

  • SO Big W has the same deal?

  • I went to BigW Eastgardens and their 4piece was $129 or thereabouts. So probably not all BigWs.

  • Picked both of my swing sets yesterday from Myer Highpoint.. All good!!
