Please find me a Canon lens with the same focal range, size and weight - I'll give you a blank cheque! :-)

    • Other than durability there's nothing wrong with plastic. Sometimes there's a benefit of lightness. Canon's nifty fifty is one example I can think of as well as the Nikon 18-105mm. Cheap, light and decent performance for the price.

  • Yep, nice find.
Shame the rumored specs of the 650D means I now won't be needing one of these.

      WHY?

  • How does this lens go for shooting sport? Kids rugby mostly?

    • No expert. But would say it would be great. Especially on a crop body. Especially with a fast camera. Bad light wouldn't see as good as results as a dearer F/2.8 lens, but have seen lots of good reviews on this lens. Remember if you have a Canon they have just announced a new 18-135 which looks very nice. http://www.canonrumors.com/2012/06/heres-the-canon-eos-rebel…
