companies still milking this war for profit?

    • +8

It is a fake war after all …started by an actor clown

      • +5

        ?

      • +11

I think we all know who the clown is

      • +2

wasn't started by him. was long planned. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L2XNN0Yt6D8 foreign interference at it's highest degree. you have to wonder why they want to spread their version of democracy across the globe? to benefit the local inhabitants lol? simply a easier system to interfere with from foreign powers if you control the mass narrative.

    • +27

Honestly, people in Ukraine are doing it tough through no fault of their own and if theres more sales its not a bad thing.

Though IMO GOG should waive their fees if they were really trying to support.

      • What? You really think a couple of video game sales are going to equate to new shiny tanks for Ukraine?
This is just typical bs emotional marketing. Nothing more.

        • +5

Where did I mention Tanks? Their country is an economic wreck and there people suffering.

All I said was that its not a bad thing.

    • +4

Doesn't say anything about the war.

  • +1

I really liked the Galaxy 1.0 app, I was excited for 2.0 but find it's too muddled and slow. It reminds me of the Discord app in having too much info on the screen at once.

I use a copy of the old GOG Galaxy v1.2.67 app with updates turned off.

    • +11

      Ok, since you asked nicely.

    • +8

here you go. there's more where that came from

    • +1

EFT is the main Russian made game that comes to mind for me - goes on sale semi regularly.

    • +2

Any attention is good attention if you're you, I guess.

    • +6

There is, but after two weeks, they all turn into Tractor Simulator.

  • +21

A Polish company might feel a bit more strongly about this situation then some sad shits sitting half way around the world giving their opinion on it.

    • +14

G.O.G. is a Polish company (wholly owned subsidiary of CD Projekt Red).

They also have up to 90% off games made in Poland https://www.gog.com/news/special_sale_outstanding_games_made…

I was surprised at some of the titles, which I never would have guessed they were made in Poland (I'm just surprised that their own game The Witcher isn't there).

    • +6

I was going to reply but I've cut myself so badly on your edge that I need to go to hospital

    • You must be a bit dense as if you didn't care you wouldn't comment, but also you don't have to care where they are made but now you can get games cheaper, it is a bargain website after all.

    • +27

Never knew Putin was an actor on a previous life. Learn something new everyday.

      • +10

At least in this life he’s acting like a clown ;)

        • -2

          Ackin a damn fool

  • +2

Companies think that if you mention Ukraine, money will start pouring in.

    • +4

Polish companies that neighbour onto Ukraine who also have a Made in Poland deal list?

    • +24

so according to you it's perfectly normal to support an evil dictatorship, and condemn a democracy? interesting

      • +1

You mean the democracy that has banned any opposition party threatening to take power away from the ruling party? They have now banned 11 opposition parties and seized all their assets.

        • +20

kremlin talk. we've been through this, remember? I lived in Ukraine and Russia, I know these are lies.

also, Russia is a one trick pony, they accuse everyone exactly of the things they are doing. so what you said is true about Russia alone. opposition is non existent and whatever is there are just puppets of the regime to create an illusion of democracy.

          • -1

@shabaka: “My side is good, your side is bad”

Ukraine is just as fascist by allowing nazis to fight with them.

            • +1

@Griffindinho: nope, another lie. Ukrainians aren't nazis.

              • +1
                • @vash5: can find more from Russia, too. does it make all Ukrainians Nazis? nope, it does not. did you live in Ukraine? I did. I saw no Nazis. surprised I didn't, since I am a Russian citizen

                  • +1

@shabaka: I never said they where all Nazi, that was you.

                    Ukrainians aren't nazis.

The docos / stories prove that there are, didn't say it was an entire country. The fact its part of the military however is (profanity) up and you should be calling it out.

did you live in Ukraine? I did. I saw no Nazis. surprised I didn't, since I am a Russian citizen

Ahhh so just because you didn't must mean there aren't any.. Gottcha 👍👍 doesn't sound anecdotal at all.

                    • +1

                      @vash5: totally.

all I am saying is it has nothing to do with invasion. they just found some facts, distorted them, blew out of proportion and said "look! Nazis!" ok, let's just be on the same page here

like I mentioned before, I was in a punk gang in Russia, and I saw some extreme elements and swastikas too. is this a reason to invade Russia? let's discuss this maybe? since we have no other pressing matters at hand?

since this war started, a lot of good people lost their relatives and friends, and Russian troops committed horrible atrocities they are still denying. that's what kind of is important here

            • +1

@Griffindinho: Holy crap, people are dumb enough to believe this line of BS?!

          • -1

@shabaka: If there's no opposition party in Ukraine. That means there's no democracy and it's a communist country.

            • +2

@yayo321: Are you trying to make yourself look half witted?

        • -1

That's so true bro why would they ban pro-russia parties as they're being invaded and butchered by them that's so crazy bro. Anti democratic bro

      • +9

Ozbargain is filled with crazy idiots unfortunately.

        • +2

"The world is a fine place and worth fighting for"

I agree with the second part

      • Just curious… how is Russia an evil dictatorship when the russians themselves support Putin?

        • Not all of them. That's a huge achievement of Russian state propaganda to show everyone, both inside and outside of Russia, that majority supports Putin.
Most people are scared to say anything against the regime - the police and judicial system are no joke there and work for one particular man.
So you either stick to a herd of supporting sheep or keep silent and propaganda counts you as a silent supporter.

        • there are no options, really. opposition is non existent, and any alternatives there are, they are clowns of the regime. illusion of choice. people look at the voting paper and think uhhhhh OK at least Putin is OK compared to all that

this is how Putin is "supported"

          • @shabaka: That seems like a plausible explanation. I also wonder at times if we ourselves are victims of propaganda of our own western media that shows Russians are really against Putin but do not say anything out of fear.

            • @PumpkinHater: there's also a lot of communism hangover. transition from one party system (where you know for sure you're not getting any new government any time soon) to democracy is a windy and confusing road for a lot of peeps in Russia. you just vote for who's in power and return to your daily routine

    • +2

      StandForRussia #StandForTaiwan #StandForIraq

      • +1

        Stand by doing what?

        • +1

Just like everyone else, I have no idea. Life is too boring I guess.

        • Exactly.. NPCs gonna supply the current thing

      • those actually contradict each other

  • +32

What the HELL is up with these comments?!

    • +32

Kremlinbot are known to have small penis syndrome. It's all they can do to show their patriotism given how incompetent their military has proven to be.

      • +16

they need to be banned from Ozbargain. pay retail prices, kremlin bots! no half price eneloops for your adult toys!

        • If you speak for that actor clown, you are a freedom fighter. However if you accuse that clown, you are a kremlin bot and needs to be banned from ozbargain.

        • +2

          Adult?

These manchildren should be grateful for your generosity

    • +26

There are gullible morons around the world who've been sucking down Putin propaganda for years.

I have one in the family, and we're all fairly sure that they are legitimately a bit brain damaged (for a range of reasons). They are a very difficult person to be around and to manage through self-inflicted disaster after self-inflicted disaster, and they seem to have some sort of learning disability. They clearly have narcissistic personality disorder and regularly threaten to kill themselves if challenged in any way.

You can spot these useful idiots for Putin from a mile away given their oddly stupid stances on a whole range of unrelated issues, including their obediently parroted mental gymnastics trying to turn the blame on Ukraine for Russia's invasion and travesties.

        • +26

See this is a clear example of the random disconnected issues they blurt out their trained lines for, despite no reason to even mention that topic.

I suspect they know that they are intellectually stunted, but rather than face it with humility, their narcissistic personality disorders instead turns them into reliable foot soldiers who will parrot random topics of harmful misinformation and Putin apologetics whenever they can.

They don't know how to form any original thoughts and propagandists take advantage of that, and feed them lines about a whole range of unrelated topics which they think will make them sound intelligent to others, which they then obediently parrot regardless of context.

            • +4

@yayo321: Haha, you are such a little baby.

              • @FabMan: Wtf? Are you on stalking me wherever I comment? I should report you stalker

          • +1

@CodeExplode: I enjoyed this chain of posts more than upvotes could indicate. You waved the bait, jaydee4 obligingly lumbered forward to take it, knuckles dragging in his wake, and like a pro, you used the example to really hammer home your original point. It was perfect.

            Well done, sir/madam.

        • +6

Why am I not suprised that a putin simp is also anti-vax?

I imagine those two groups strongly overlap.

        • 😂😂😂

      • -5

I am not even sure people blame Ukraine for the Russian invasion.

The blame rightfully is on NATO and their intractable hatred for Russia.

Also, Poland hates Russia the most. Hence this sale.

        • +4

Thinking back to the annexation of Crimea a few years ago, and the Russian aggression in eastern Ukraine over the past few years, what degree of love you you suggest should have been given to Russia by the European NATO countries prior to the invasion of Ukraine?

As for Poland, does this probably bear large in their minds https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Katyn_massacre ?

        • Well said

    • +15

This comment section's in a worse state than a Russian ammo depot.

  • -4

All the Ozbargain simps crawling out the basement to vote up the pro Ukraine posts.

    • +20

I'd be interested to hear your thoughts on why a country suffering an illegal invasion by a sham dictator shouldn't be helped?

      • +7

Who helped all the countries illegally invaded by the US, UK, AUS?

        • +32

Ahh, the good old whataboutism. Ignore the topic at hand and quickly try to shift focus onto something else.

          • +11

@Cluster: one trick ponies I tell you. whataboutthis whataboutthat

        • -4

Well, typically, the US and UK.
Engineering teams usually improve or establish the infrastructure, build schools, roads and hospitals, establish clean waterways and reliable telecommunications, and generally work hard to uplift the quality of life for civilians.

I guess the last 100 years zipped so fast, you didn't pay much attention.

          • +2

@Magpye: I'm sure all the dead people in the middle east would beg to differ as a result of all the proxy wars and conflict. Dont get a better example than Iraq and WMDs

But hey, you go on right ahead and support Ukraine when you failed to do the same in Iraq, Iran, Yemeni, Afganistan… And so on.

      • -3

Guess you wouldn't want us to defend Australia if China was bombing NT for seven years then?

        • +2

          Your such a 🤡

  • +1

Nearly 6 months since the invasion began.

    • +9

      it's been such a nightmare.

"we don't really know why we invaded, we keep losing the plot and can't decide what the real reason was, but we can't just admit it and withdraw, so we keep doing it as if we know what we're doing, also get lost western zombies Russia is great" that's the bottom line

    • -2

Over 8 years since the Ukrainians started shelling russian speaking cities in Ukraine, killing over 14000 people before Russia stepped in.

      • +28

more lies. everyone should know by now that war in Donbass was started by Russian militants, they came from Russia. before it was a peaceful area

people need to know that the real reason Russia wants these lands is natural resources, also they are sick of Ukraine charging tax on oil and gas passing through its territory. that's all there is.

        • +5

Was the Odessa trade union building massacre more russian lies?

          • +1

@Tonyh87: Give up already. You can't teach people that for every price want to be stupid

            • @dosada: knowing truth is called stupid in Russia. only watching state television is smart.

            • +3

@dosada: Sorry, was that an English sentence?

              • @GrueHunter: Sorry, English is just my third language. I am sure you speak more than that. Fluently.

            • +2

@dosada: Next they'll be saying that Ihor Kolomoisky hired Hunter Biden to Burisma for his experience in the oil industry, (definitely not because his father was VP) and its just a coincidence that Ihor Kolomoisky was the main financial backer for Zelensky, and also a coincidence that Ihor Kolomoisky was the main financial backer of the "totally not" Neo-Nazi Azov battalion.

              • +2

@Tonyh87: first, most Ukrainians don't even know what Azov battalion was. why does it even matter?

second, so, when Russian children are marching under Russian flags in schools that is patriotism, while anything like that in another country is suddenly neo-Nazism?

                fascinating logic.

                • +5

@shabaka: So all the swastika tattoos are just Ukrainian patriotism?

                  • +6

@Tonyh87: I have never seen a Ukrainian with a swastika, or heard about anyone mention it.

there are neo-Nazis in a lot of countries, including Russia. when I lived in Russia I was in a punk gang, and I've seen a fair share of freaks and swastikas spray painted in random places. does it make all Russians Nazis? definitely, according to you.
