At this price point you're better off investing in a cheap CO2 laser instead.

Unfortunately most diode lasers use Chinese Watts and thus aren't really anywhere near the duty cycle or power as rated. A basic 40w CO2 machine will have well more than 'double' the cutting strength of a 20w diode laser.

  This may be true, but with this specific model a reviewer has actually measured the output with an LPM and confirmed that it outputs 21w. There's a photo of it in the reviews.

I think Sculpfun is working on their version of this as well. They all seem to release around a similar time.
