Ferrex Xfinity 20V Cordless Tools 6pc Set (Angle Grinder, Circular Saw, Drill, Impact Driver, Torch) $249 @ ALDI

100

I got the brushless version in June, they are good enough for hobby and occasional usage (aldi said not for business use). But there is no brushless circular saw and impact driver yet. This set looks like a good deal (all non-brushless), but no tool bag. It's $20 more than 2021's sale ($229 https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/648240).

5 yrs warranty for skin, but the batteries only 1 year warranty (ozito pxc 3 years on battery).

  • Set includes 1) drill driver skin, 2) impact driver skin, 3) angle grinder skin, 4) LED torch skin and 5) circular saw skin
  • 2.0Ah and 4.0Ah batteries, 6) USB power station and fast charger included

    Bunnings, your move

  • i bought the aldi table saw recently, but havent had a chance to use it yet. would like to know people's opinions on more tools in this brand

the real issue - you cannot ex-change the tools in store compare to ozito pxc. And aldi wants to refund to your wallet more than process the warranty. if this happen at the middle your work, you need to buy a new one +battery in Bunnings.

        Exactly this.

I can (and have) taken a faulty Ozito skin back to Bunnings and done an exchange within 10 minutes, ready to continue my projects in the shed. I don't have to even think about replacement availability, downtime, postage, or receipts (they're all in my PowerPass app).

    • Not sure just me or bad luck, but I was having trouble assembling the legs , I got 2 of 4 working but screws from other legs is not line up with hole. So I took it back and brought the Dewalt 7491( it’s 5 times more expensive but I have no issue with it )

The impact drill is very weak… other tools are OK for home use. Had this for about 1 year and used the tools for several activities

    • Hence why I took mine back, and paid extra for Ryobi.

I found the drill part really bad QC.
The chuck just flops around. When I close the jaws I can wobble the nose about +- 4mm in every direction!

Annoying part is when you call the "service" for the item you get 2 (identical?) forms to fill and return and a page of questions,
request for pics and a video! All this for about a $42 item.
Just how these are all to be posted to the "service" centre is unclear.

A hopeless amount of effort required, with very poor service for the purchaser.
Simply not worthwhile, which I suppose is what they are trying to achieve.

The impact driver works OK but it does not have a torque setting which all other drivers seem to have.
