Here we go again! Buyer beware of previous posts, poor quality and soles made in China.

  • +6

we have been making sheepskin boots for over four decades

It is a shame that with all that experience you cannot make, atleast in my experience, boots that last four months (indoor use only)

    https://imgbb.com/1R9tzQ3

    • +3

Same with me… bought 2 months ago and the sole is peeling away from the upper on one side… toes coming through! Haha!

Response was to send it to them for repair, which is cool, but I need the boots as it is still winter in Tassie!

    • -1

WTF are you doing to them to do that? Mine are close to 3 years old and are fine, my partners doesn't use hers as often but they are still good too.

It looks like you're chewing on the damn things

      • +2

Mine are close to 3 years old and are fine,

Maybe the focus now is on quantity rather than quality

Check out OPs posts in the last four weeks

26/7 480 pairs of mini boots
02/08 400 pairs of Eildon boots
        16/08 500 pairs of scuffs
        12/08 800 pairs of slippers
16/8 400 pairs of tidal boots
19/8 360 pairs of sheepskin scuffs
        23/8 rugs
25/8 400 pairs of mini boots

And thats just in the past four weeks :)

        • They've been doing that for ages, maybe you just trashed them because that's an actual tear in the hide, I'm not sure how you can put that much wear on that location with normal use.

          • @dav3: Exactly right dav3 and if you look at docians profile, he is constantly writing negative comments on our deals for over 12 months now…

            • +1

              @UGGAustraliaOfficial:

constantly writing negative comments on our deals for over 12 months now…

lets fact check OP shall we?

              from his post 19/8/22 https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/719739
none of these comments were mine

many claimed these often failed within months in the previous posts.

Warning to all refer to previous posts. Bad reviews, quality and soles are made in China.

Are the soles made in China or what?

they import the soles from China them assemble in AU

Ain’t no way you’d pay $115 for those

Recommended Ripoff Price in this instance

The lambswool where the heel sits wears away completely after a few short weeks.

Interesting how the RRP constantly changes and there is no transparency behind what its based on (except for their own website)…

At this point - looks more like spam than a proper deal.

              From this post dated 16/8/22
              https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/718981

              zero comments from me
              but others have said

If they aren’t worth $225 these constant ‘sales’ that bombard ozbargain seem to be lacking in the bargain department.Maybe if they didn’t plonk the cheapest Chinese soles on them they might be worth it at $75

              from the post dated 26/7/22
              https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/715087

              again zero comments from me

people consistently post that the boots fall apart on them. The quality isn’t up to scratch, whether they are Aus made or not.

the soles completely falling apart now, and they absorb water. Rarely worn only during winter, and 99% indoors as well. Also the inner sheep skin lining is very poor, minimal padding and fails quickly.
Was keen on this brand for the Aussie pitch but IMO they’re not fantastic.

I think I am not the only one who thinks your products are not good

and you can't really blame me for adding Chinese soles, and claiming that your boots are 100% Australian made

And you really can't deny the fact, that you are probably the only Aussie manufacturer of Uggs, who does not have a phone number listed for customer support

And you really can't blame me when people constantly say, they email customer support and get no replies

perhaps if the focus was on improving the quality of your boots, instead of mass producing and posting on ozb
perhaps if the focus was on improving your customer service, maybe just maybe, being brave enough to provide a customer contact number- like other ugg manufacturers do
perhaps if you were to consider stopping claiming your boots were 100% Australian made, when all your boots have soles not made in Australia

then maybe just maybe the negative comments (see above) may just reduce?

      • Just wearing them everyday in the house for 2 months… only in the house, walking around on floorboards and carpet in 1 of the rooms… never outside. I'd expect them to last longer, and my wife's Uggs, bought last year are still looking pretty much brand new from more wear than the ones I got 2 months ago… so I think it is the recent-ish batch of uggs that have some quality issues

  • I had a pair last 4 years with almost daily wear (indoors only). The label on the heel matched the company logo (same as the OP’s profile pic). Perhaps your Uggs were from another manufacturer?

I just bought a new pair via this deal.

    • +5

Perhaps your Uggs were from another manufacturer?

Definitely this mob- just check OPs recent posts- quality has gone downhill compared to four years ago

Ugg Australia does not even have a contact phone number listed; so if things go wrong, you can't even talk to a real person; other manufacturers do
      Eg

      https://www.australianuggboots.com.au/en-au/company/about-us TEL: (03) 9580-9696 Victoria

      https://www.uggsince1974.com.au/pages/contact-us Phone: +61 (07) 5520 4066 Queensland

      https://aussieuggs.com/pages/contact +61 2 6924 2885 NSW

From previous posts, if things go wrong, your emails will be ignored in most cases, until you come and complain here; fortunately OP posts thrice every two weeks

      • Good to know. I’ll check them out thoroughly when i receive them!

        • -3

          Hi braddsey, if you have any issues at All please direct message us and we will sort it out for you immediately;

If you look at thankyou38 and docians profile you will see that they are constantly writing negative reviews on a weekly basis.

However they both still follow our deals; it’s a game to them.

          • +1

@UGGAustraliaOfficial: I'm glad they do! I have personally had no issue with your product, but it's revealing to read this information and to see your interaction with them.

I don't think it's a good strategy to attack them ad hominem. I think you will sell more products if you explain how you have addressed their concerns, and how you stand by your product. At present, it seems like you are not willing to engage, which just seems suspicious.

            • +1

@Tamtu: sadly OP has always denied there is a problem with the product and blames everyone else

for example when I first posted a picture of my holey shoes here https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/11244427/redir

OP chose to blame the sheep for producing inferior wool

this is exactly what he said

I’ve never seen a hole that large.. 😳
Rarely the sheepskin is weak and therefore this happens.
Nothing to do with the workmanship

In that very post others had commented that their boots looked just like mine
              https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/11244867/redir
              https://ibb.co/ZmSvTq4

              and here https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/11245573/redir
              https://files.ozbargain.com.au/upload/27678/91929/ugg.jpg

suggesting that this is a fairly common occurence (which somehow the store rep of ugg australia that has been making boots for four decades, is unaware of)

the common theme being, if you are lucky you get a good pair of boots that lasts ages
if like me you happen to be unlucky and get poor quality boots, you cannot even contact them by phone, you can email them, and your mails will probably be ignored

              as one customer had said

Was so many complaints at the time about customer service, didn't have the energy for a battle to try to return them.

              and another said

this was exactly the same experience I had. I called out their quality issues on here previously and publicly was offered customer service who are 'replying to all inquires within 24 business hours" this never happened and multiple emails were ignored

and then of course if someone posts negative comments OP thinks that we are playing games

negative comments can be found in many of OPs posts starting 2019, before I even knew of the existence of this company
but most of the issues about those comments- poor quality, lack of after sales service, ignored emails, continue to this day

there are a total of 199 reviews on product review with an average rating of 2.8
100 of those reviews are 1star reviews
ugg boots must be popular with gamers

      • +2

fortunately OP posts thrice every two weeks

I see that as rather unfortunate

        • +1

Lol fortunately as in if your emails are ignored, you have many opportunities to catch OPs attention here

  • +2

I get spam less days than these guys post "deals" here.

  • What a surprise, the deal has expired and the price didn't go back up to the fake RRP of $185.00.

To make matters worse it's actually cheaper @$65.00.

    • It’s a better price on OzBargain because you did not add delivery

      • You failed to respond to the main point of my comment.
