Dear bargain lovers, Dyson is giving 20% discount for existing customers when you purchase new products directly from Dyson. I rang up their customer care to enquire about stock availability of the latest Dyson V15 stick vaccum cleaners to replace my aging Dyson V6. They told they are giving 20% discount to existing customers and I could get the latest V15 Detect Absolute for $1199 (retail price $1499; cheapest $1449). They also offered add-on cleaning bundle products worth $99/$129 free with this purchase. Net discount, a whopping $300. Truely awesome deal. The offer runs till end of August and only available on purchases directly from Dyson Australia.

paying that much for a vacuum cleaner is crazy, they can afford to give 20% off. Don't get me wrong Dyson is a good product but the high end ones I question for the money how much better they are

    • I agree to what you are saying. I bought a v8 absolute last week for 400$. The site listed the product as RRP of 999 and discount of $599 (as a mistake). After I called, they corrected it to discount if $400 but honoured that price for me.

Should have posted here instead of reporting it to Dyson. Surrender your Ozbargain card mate!!

    • Agree. It's each person's choice. Their product lasts well. My V6 went for a good 6 years. So I thought I would go for the new one and hopefully it lasts even longer than the earlier one.

      • I went V6 to V10 the trigger broke on the V10 which is a known issue the V6 was solid

        • Just order new battery for V6 and it's good for another 6 yrs

        • I was able to fix our v10 trigger following a YouTube vid, using e6000 glue and reinforcing the trigger with staples (as shown in the vid I watched).

I had to take the whole unit apart though, the only thing I didn’t have to open up was the motor itself.

    • Sort of agree. Went from a normal vacuum to a V8 stick a couple months ago ($440). It's a great vacuum, super convenient, and obviously well designed.
However, are they worth the $1000+ that the RRP and newer versions are priced at? Probably not for me.
Some people can afford to pay those figures for the convenience and new features but it's a lot of money for most.

      • I believe the V7 is still made which is just an improved V6…
So it’s still a supported entry path

      • I agree mate. It is certainly expensive. But nevertheless an awesome discount. When you add up the $100 free accessories that is also included, it is a whopping 25% discount. Considering it is not a holiday discount season, I'm sure this would be of interest to many bargain hunters on this platform.

The prices are not updating… Where to get 20% discount?

    • Call them and place an order over the phone.

    • only on FULL RRP

    • Call their customer care number

  • Do you need to have purchased or just have a dyson account?

    • Probably a Dyson account would suffice. Not sure though

  • It believe OP is a stating you need to call them up to ask for a discount

  • OP. do you think you can get the same discount for HIZERO, I believe its sister company of Dyson?

    • +5

OP bought one vacuum. Why don't you call a different company and ask about their discount?
      What a bizarre comment…

I mistaken Dyson with Laura Star (same company who sells HiZero). take a chill pill.

    • I've go no clue about that mate

I figured it out and got the discount with them.

  • You can get up to 25% if you have older devices. My DC45 gave me 25% discount. Serial number required.

      Even better

    The V7 is RRP 599 but it's discounted to 449. Is the 20% on 599 or 449 ??

    • +1

      Suggest you call and check

      • Just called them and it is off the RRP. V7 on sale for 449 and 20% off RRP 599 ends up being 479. This is not a deal !

    • Dyson discounts always apply on RRP

I noticed many morons on here who loves to negg others for any reason.

  • Did your V15 come with the charging stand?

    • Did you mean the free standing one - nope. The old fashioned wall hanger is still included. There are cheaper knock offs available on Amazon if you are keen on the free standing one.

  • Just paid full price goddammit

    • Tough luck mate. If it is from another retailer, return it and put in an order with Dyson directly if you are still keen.

      • I don't wanna do that to the retailer, just my bad luck.

I wish Dyson would lower thr price permanently and avoid sales hurting good customers like me who buy regularly

You can actually just message them on fb messenger also - they're pretty responsive, I got 20% off the hair dryer for the mrs

    • That's good info mate

    • when did you get this 20% off? I tried over the phone today and was told nope.

      • On the day this post was put up here. And this is not for net new customers, only returning customers.

No discount on the airwrap as per my call this morning.

  • Just purchased the Dyson Supersonic hairdryer on 20% discount thanks to this post! I have purchased a vacuum from Dyson previously and all you need is the serial number on your Dyson product for verification.
