In like 3-4months time people may be able to get the 4070 for like $599USD (so whats that? 850AUD) which will be on par with the 3090! (and faster at RT)
nvidia hooked and reeled them all in during the pandemic. Sell the masses the inefficient shit technology that can't raytrace at a playable framerate. So you can get them all to rebuy again in the short term!
Add 10% gst makes it $935 then add the random 5% Australia tax and it should retail around $980-$985

I think AMD will have the advantage this coming generation as they have probably cleared enough stock to release next gen now.its bargain floor price, I sold many 2nd hand 3080 for above $2000.

Bought my 2080ti 2-3 years ago for $1450.
There are barely a handful of games that push a 2080ti let alone a 3080ti.
I think I will HODL until someone makes a decent game.
This is the issue for me. The only reason I want to upgrade my GPU is so that I don't drop under 120fps on Doom Eternal. One game hardly justifies it though.
Could upgrade your screen if the graphics card isn’t struggling. Get a nice ultra wide, then you can upgrade to a 3080.
I have a LG C9 - 4k 120hz oled, the 2080ti powers it fine.
I never play fullscreen games because it's a 55" used as a monitor, all i need is 2/3rd window of the screen for a game.
Also the 2080ti is in a water loop connected to the CPU, so changing it out is going suck.

I wouldn't say 0 point… But at 1k it's probably better to wait… Hopefully AMD keep Nvidia on their toes by releasing more than just the halo cards this year… because if it was up to leather jacket he'd not release 4000 until next year…
