I was in the market for high-performance quiet fans, and surprisingly found a special on these newly released fans.

Minimal design (black, no RGB).

Might be worth considering, especially if requiring both 120mm and 140mm case fans in sff builds (e.g. 2x140mm side mounted intake fans on a 280mm radiator + 2x120mm top mounted exhaust fans in a NR200 - my personal application); or even if you are just after some substitutes for Phanteks T30s / Noctua A12x25s.

  interesting… glad to see BQ finally step up in the performance/noise metric, rather than just blindly pursuing silence.

  however, charging an extra ~$10 for standard square frames is just stupid segmentation, the non-"pro" version shouldn't even exist.

  How would I power one of these if I needed one for an entertainment unit. I have USB and wall socket power.

    These fans are 12V where usb is 5v.

    You'd need to get a small boost circuit

    Something like these:

    Cut the connector off.

    Put the negative wire to ground and positive to 12v:

    Just use a far cheaper Arctic fan, and use use a USB A cable that negotiates 9 volts from a QC charger. At 9v it will move plenty of air and still be silent.

  Not sure how relevant but I managed to snag a 3-pack set of Lian Li infinity fans for $117.80 delivered from My Deal.

  I’d have posted it as it seemed (really) cheap but they immediately put the price up to $157 after I ordered so I suspect it might have been a price error.

  Anyway they honoured it and it’s in transit. I half wish I’d hooked 3 sets but I’ll await another deal as it’s not urgent (why would it be? It’s fans, not a kidney 😜)
